My Honest Review on Vel Tech University

This course is useful to get into the software field/non-IT field also. For every subject, there were nearly 10-12 faculty members. so you can choose any faculty from 2nd year of the course onwards. For a single class Girl's ratio - is 5 to 15 members and the boy's ratio - is 40 to 60 members. Faculty qualification - Ph.D. or PG done faculty. Most;y the teaching was normal & simple to understand and sometimes quite difficult to understand the subject and also it depends on the faculty. PPT and Projector teaching method was quite useful to understand topics easily. But for an average student it is ok to understand the teaching, for bright students, the teaching and subject are quite easy and for below-average students, it was a bit difficult to follow the teaching. Exams were conducted monthly - midterm exams. It is easy to get passing marks in exams.

I haven't applied for an internship. Hardly completed Minor and Major projects. Had to buy projects which cost less for minor projects but for a major project it cost nearly 10000 which is very high. Of course, the university will provide materials but most of the students purchase their projects from outside. Faculty should help students in doing projects from basics to completion of the project which is not done by university faculty.

From 6th semester students are eligible to attend campus placements. Companies visited - TATA Elxsi, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, and many more. Highest package - amazon company 25LPA. Lowest package offers - up to 2.5LPA. Average Package - 4LPA. 90-94% of students got placed. I am doing higher studies currently.

The fee structure is affordable. I haven't taken an entrance exam, so my fee structure was different from others. The normal semester fee was 45000 to 52000. After graduation, a 10000 rupees scholarship was provided. Out of 900 students in ECE 750 - 800 students were selected for campus placements.

Campus life was normal. No ragging. Fest for freshers was conducted. The annual fest named "LAVAZZA" was conducted in January. Books are available in the library. Different libraries for every course. The projector was available in the classroom. different kinds of sports will be there. NCC, NSS, Cricket, Football, Badminton, Volleyball, etc. Clubs- Art club and many other clubs and social activities like SANDHAI, and many programs are there.

Non-AC and AC rooms were available. Total 3 hostels for girls. 6 in 1 room was provided with 2 washrooms and 6 cupboards. 3 to 4 plug points were available. 2 in 1 room was provided with 1 washroom and 2 cupboards for things. Only one plug point was available. Meal quality was good for only a few months that too when admissions were going on, so parents will come along with their children to check the hostel facilities, only that time food was good, but after admissions of 1 to 2 months, food quality decreased, but it was ok but not so delicious. The registration process for the hostel can be done through the hostel management system block in the college or it can be done through the university's official website. 6 in 1 room - 45000 to 53000, 2 in 1 room - 55000 Single rooms are also available with AC and NONac. I stayed in a hostel.

Admission process is quite normal and simple. Within 24 hours admission process got completed. I haven't taken any entrance exam. Instead of entrance exam they added extra 20000 for my academic fee and considered my 12th percentage.
