- They have broken the big canteen for making a new building for BBA and bcom
- Due to construction the ground has shrinked a lot and there is very less space for people to play sports.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum are very vast at msit. They follow the curriculum issued by GGPSIPU University. In BTech there are 4 branches CSE, IT, ECE, EEE. In the first year you have to study a lot of subjects which may not be part of your course but it is important to give basic knowledge about engineering. I chose this course because I was really interested in computer science and wanted to become a programmer. The faculty present here is strict but at the same time very helpful. Discipline is very important for them. The faculty is very knowledgeable and qualified, they have published their own research papers and many more which you can access at www.msit.in. Exams are mostly conducted on time and the level of exams is moderate if you will follow what the teacher is explaining it is easy to pass.
Placement Experience
I am in the first year so I am currently not eligible for placement but the placement rate at the college is very good. Last year the highest off-campus placement was 1.7 cr and the highest on-campus placement was 64Lakhs. Many big companies visit the college including Microsoft, Tata, adobe and many more which can be accessed at the official website of the college. The average package is about 7 lakh per annum. From the end of 3rd-year students are eligible for placement and the placement cell of msit is also very helpful. About 97 per cent of the students get placed which is one of the highest. I am mostly looking for a good job after the degree and working to achieve my goals.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college are around 1,56,300 for the first year including some security deposit. They make you sign a form before admission about the fee hike policy. As I am in the first year so I have not received any stipend or things like that.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Genesis and the technical fest is called avenesis which is mostly conducted in the month of April. The library is one of the best places in the college it is very well ventilated and a vast amount of journals and books are present there. You can play many sports at the college including football, cricket, badminton, and basketball. There are many societies run by students such as IEEE, GDSC, OCTAVE and many more which help students to increase their connections.
Admission
Maharaja Surajmal Institute Of Technology come under GGPSIPU. Ipu conducts the admission process online. I took admission to the BTech course. I am required to provide jee main marks to them. You can find the brochure which contains all information about admission at www.ipu.ac.in. Any person who has qualified for jee mains and 10+2 board exams is eligible for admission. The admission process is very smooth though it takes too much time.
