Life and Experience of an ITM sls Baroda University Student

I chose CSE because if you're serious about studies then there's no lack of jobs in this field. Some of the Faculty in my time (2018-2022) in college were not up to the standards but most of the teachers were really good. Teachers like Som sir, and Gaurav sir, were respected a lot among students I'm forgetting some of the names but there were a lot of skilled and respectable teachers. The exam structure was like this - CETs of 2-3 subjects and others were taken in midterms. CETs happened twice first before midterms and another after midterms and if our cumulative score was above 25 we passed the subjects after that came viva and end-semester exams, for the first 2 semesters I thought that it was really difficult to handle the pressure but after focusing properly I never felt any pressure and passed every exam.

Worked as a research intern for an international university in which we were assigned a topic for which we needed to come up with a conclusion. For that we used multiple statistical, analytical as well as algorithmic approaches and finally, we were able to come up with a solution and were able to publish our own research paper. Topic - Computational Aspects and Statistical Analysis of multiple sleeping disorders. Sub-Topic - "sleeping disorders do not travel alone" an apriori algorithm approach. No stipend was provided we joined it purely to gain some knowledge and ended up publishing our own research paper. Our International guide from Iran was really impressed with us.

From 6th semester students are encouraged to be a part of any internship program. Institute provides internationally-based research internships free of cost. (I was part of one and got my research paper published) From 7th semester students are eligible to be a part of TAP Programme. You will be trained for interviews and how to give exams. College provides placement opportunities even after you graduate for at least 2 years. I have offers from 2 companies both were of the same ctc. Most of the students got placed from our batch I'd say over 70% and few others went abroad for higher studies. I plan to work for a couple of years and then see if my company will provide me sponsorship to do MBA or not. I haven't decided yet but it is still in my consideration.

Now I used to get bugged a lot regarding my fees because I never submitted them on time due to financial issues but overall the accounts department was very helpful to me. If you secure a certain CGPA then you're bound to get scholarships from college. I knew many of my friends and classmates who got scholarships because of their good scores. (I don't know the specific names of scholarships but there were some that were provided by GTU). I secured 2 jobs on campus one back in Dec 2021 during my 7th semester and one this year in January both having the same package. (350000 LPA).

The annual tech test is really awesome in 2019 the organizers held the SunBurn Campus event and brought 3 global DJswho loved every bit of that time. Lost of competitions be it hackathons, bot wars, esports, etc. There is an entire half section of a floor in terms of library size and it is really big can easily find books or journals that may assist you. You'll also find theses from previously graduated students. Projectors and 9 fans (if I remember correctly) in every class foam chair. Cricket stadium (International Standards - yes it's true), Tennis court, 2 Badminton courts, 3-4 table tennis tables, kabaddi ground, volleyball area, etc. Students were allowed to organize their routine club meets back in my days there were many groups (ethical hackers group, Tech savvy's had their separate group, Students who were in sports had their separate groups, and many more).

Students can apply via their official website or can collect application forms from the college. the university provides visiting and transport facilities for potential new students and their parents. I'm a 2022 pass-out (The last batch which was affiliated with GTU) now the college has turned into a university. You must have secured 1st division in the required subjects for the branch you are applying.
