A journey worth sharing

Overall the college should be developed in various aspects which is my greatest regret. Firstly the academic pattern and the whole system needs to change to meet the national standards.

I got admission through EAMCET and my rank is around 8000. Chose this college since it is better among others in the State

The Curriculum is good , we have workshops and labs to practice everything. There will be 3 electives with an open elective offered by other branches. Our department encourages us to participate in outside competetions conducted by JKDC etc. They also provide funds for our projects. Other branches are not exposed to practical work that often , even if they did it is always regular course stuff.

My college doesn't provide any Internship ,leave alone the stipend. You don't even find a 2-month holiday during summer. Summer vacation last for only a month.

Placements are better. They offer jobs to quite a lot of students but almost all of them are Service Based Companies with low offering payscale. TCS is the main recruiter of the campus. INFOSIS, WIPRO, HYUNDAI MOBIS,ACCROLITE,TECH MAHINDRA are some the recruiters.

There will be a Annual Day Celebration in the month of February every year. The Technical Fest is sometimes collided with the Annual Day Celeb. The College will be crowded with the local youth during the Annual Day Celeb due to the tradition of inviting Tollywood Celebrities. Sometimes it happens in the month of September. Other college students are welcomed for the Technical Fest. A Project Expo will be organized in early october. School chidlren and college children visit the college during Expo's.

The Fee consist of Rs.1,10,000 for every year,so i consider this a feasible amount. For Eamcet quota students who are elegible for Fee Reimbursement they need not pay the whole fee or atleast half of the fee. Management Quota seats are costly. For an EAMCET rank below 5000 they need not pay the FEE at all in any college in AP. If their parents are Government Employees and student holding EAMCET rank below 5000 is not given any Fee Reimbursement.

The Fee Reimbursement of Total Fee or Half Of the Fee is given by the AP Government for students of Eamcet Quota holding ranks below 5000. The College provides a scholarship for some students based on GPA with an amount around 10000 Rs.

The Campus life is average and depends on the person. Gender ratio is 1:1 in CSE,ECE,IT but very very low in MEC and some 1:2 in CIVIL and EEE since most girls don't opt for those branches. All the students are residents of AndhraPradesh and very few of them come from Telangana. There are various courts for Basket Ball and VolleyBall. There is a cricket stadium which is rented to AP cricket association and our students are rarely allowed to play there.

The Boys Hostel is present beside the College premises but the Girls Hostel is present inside Guntur city. The Rooms are very neat and premises is very well maintained. But the Food is damned and is not upto the standard, they should really change the Food Schedule and items. There are many rules in the hostel which are damn frustating. You can't leave or enter the Hostel Facility at 6 PM without a permission letter and permission is only given by parents phone call in case of girls and a serious reason in case of Boys Hostel.

None really cares about their career while studying there so there will not be any interactions with alumni. Seniors interact occasionally but not for academic purposes. We can find a handful of students who might help their juniors in every batch.

There will be two series of MID exams and Internal labs before the 2nd MID exams. After the 2nd MID they give you around 1 week holidays (waste indeed) for preparation and then the SEM END exams commence. The Ending days of the semester are just like you are very busy those days.

I got admission through EAMCET rank. Eamcet is the base through which you get admissions in Engineeing Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. After you get the Rank there will be Councelling Centers in every city and towns, so they help you to choose a college. Councelling will be online and you get admission into any college based on your prioritized list.

The Faculty are out dated and many of them just recite their presentations. College should renew their faculty for a better progress. Only few faculty have PhD's and some who have enrolled haven't gotten past that. The Tragedy is that many of them are Associate Professors who have only PG qualification. The Professors with the PhD qualification stick to the curriculum which is regular and boring.
