The course aims to create responsible and efficient, trained doctors. All the professors are senior doctors specialized in their subjects with experience of many years. Each subject has a faculty of around 10-15 professors and residents who teach in a very understandable way. The teaching system at BJGMC is considered to be one of the best in all Maharashtra and also in India for Medical graduations. Every 4 months after will be an internal exam and a Preliminary exam before the end of the academic year. At the end of the academic year, the University conducts the Final Exam, the score of which decides whether the student passes the academic year or not. The exams are not much easy but studying regularly will not make the exams hard.

The 1-year internship is included in the course which is done at a Government hospital posted by the college itself. After the internship, the student becomes a doctor and has various opportunities like, Work at a Government hospital, Postgraduate, Start a private clinic, Practice at a Private hospital.
