Entrance Preview
I took UPSEE exams in which I got 28000 rank . I opted for Information technology as I was interested in this field and wanted to learn more about it
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is given by AKTU . Generally each semester contains 5-6 subjects with one or two elective subjects . There are lectures alloted to each subject according to the requirements . Overall the curriculum is good and does manage the whole course efficiently.
Internships Opportunities
No there is no internship in IMS Engineering College . But there are some summer training programs which students can take part in.
Placement Experience
Placement are good . TCS used to be largest recruiter . Other recruiter include IBM , Ericsson etc . Other recruiter were prime focus , Kronos, QA Infotech, think and learn etc . Package varied depending on the company . But average was 2.4 -3 lpa . The placement opportunities are good
College Events
There are many events that occur in Ims Engineering College . These include many technical and not technical event . There are tech related events sports events and the cultural events that occur during a single curriculum year . Technovation, Chakravyuh are some events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible . The fees has to be paid at the starting of the semester . The fees is in accordance to the guidelines of uptu . There are rarely some linearity in the fees thought and has to be submitted at the start of the semester . There are rules .
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship that is provided by the up government . I don't know much about that though .
Campus Life
Campus life is good . Class are generally from 9am to 4:20 pm . Labs are arranged in the class schedule accordingly . Sport competitions are held every year . There are technical event for robotics etc . The other extra curricular activities are well supported by college authorities .
Alumni/Alumna
The senior were very helpful they help in many things such as project placements etc . They were very supportive.
Exam Structure
Exams are neither very hectic or very chilled out . Each semester has 2 sessional and a external semester exam. Sessional are 1 exams per day so they are not very hectic . There is a good study gap in the external exams . The overall exam structure is quite student friendly .
Admission
First I filled the form of UPSEE the entrance exam for the college affiliated with uptu(now AKTU) . I gave the exams and got 28000 rank . Upon counselling I was allotted IMS Engineering College . After Counselling I reached college and did the rest of the formalities.
Faculty
The faculty is very good of IMS ENGINEERING College . They are highly qualified individuals working hard towards the overall development of the students . They are very supportive and provide help in every matter . Apart from studies they also help students in extra curricular activities.
