If you spend long time in any place, that will leave you with godd as well as bad memories.I had a bad memory with the finance department of college.I overpaid the fees and lost the receipt.But the fee payment details will be available in Student portal. So i took a copy and went to see Finance officer to get refund, but they responded harshly and denied to return my fee saying that who knows if you have paid the fee..This is a very bitter experience i faced while leaving college.

Actually i completed my diploma in EEE. So i got direct entrance as a Lateral entry into 2nd year of the 4 year course through ECET examination. For inter or +2 candidates eligibility would be based on +2 marks,Eamcet,IIT,JEE rank.The most important exam would be VSAT coducted by Vignan University which helps to get fee reduction based on your performance.

Vignan offers a course structure which no other university doesnt offer that is selecting a MINOR STREAM...They will give you a minor degree which would be very helpful in campus placements and off campus drives. For example, I pursued my btech in EEE as major degree, along with that i had a choice to choose a minor degree from HUMANITIES, MANAGEMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY. I took IT as my minor degree, which helped me to have an extra step to have core knowledge along with computer knowledge.. Different branches will have different minor degree offerings.They have to choose their minor in 2nd year of 4year course.The classes will be conducted seperately to the main degree. The course structure is evenly balanced form first year.First year is basically same syllabus for every branch( Except 2 or 3 subjects). We will have electives from 2nd year. Based on our interest we can choose. And one more interesting thing is the Internship for a complete semester of our choice in 4th year i.e. we can go to internship in 4-1 or 4-2(our wish) which helps us to have a practical work experience before going out of University. If u dont want to go to intership, we can stay at college and do a project along with 4 subjects.

You can get Internship letter on your own or you can join in companies suggested by University. We can also do internship ABROAD if we wish. But their is a rule that students who have more than 3 backlogs in 4th year cant go to internship.They have to stay at college and do the project.

Placements will be offered by companies like IBM(this year for first time), TCS, Tech Mahindra, Polaris etc.Students of all branches are eligible to attend. Core branches like EEE,Mech,Civil will have seperate industrial companies, startups of their particular stream. Honestly speaking, there will be more IT companies and very less core companies. University has Placement cell, which trains you for placements from 2nd year.So you would be ready to crack any interview or test. It will be irrespective of branch and the focus would be mainly on IT companies.So they will teach languages like C,C++,Java etc. and few other IT related subjects, Aptitude, Reasoning etc.

The events in Vignan university are regular. There will be International conferences, National Conferences, Workshops etc. Cultural events are conducted by SAC( Students activity counsel). The biggest event will be MAHOTSAV, one of the best techinal,cultural, sports fest which will be conducted for 3 days. Students from all over the country from different universities will participate in this Mega event. There will be branch fests for individual branches and Freshers party for individual branches and a common party for all branches.

The fee structure is a bit expensive compared to normal colleges and feasible compared to certified Universities. If you have good grades you can avail 50% to 100% fee waviers. Also there will be scholarship based on your year performance in your branch and your same year. 1st rank - 55,000 2nd rank - 33,000 3rd rank - 22,000

Campus life is really exciting because you can do what you wish after the classes. University has Dance club, Music club, Sports club which offers different sports like cricket,kabaddi,tennis,Basketball,Volley ball etc. along with indoor games like Badminton,Table tennis carroms,chess etc. There will be regular competitions in debates, Paper presentations, Project expos, dance and singing competitions etc.

The hostel and food is top class. Interesting fact is Vignan is the first group to start residential education in AP way back. The hostels are clean and based on your interest and fee, you can stay in different hostels. The rooms will be cleaned every day by working staff and monitored by Wardens regularly. The hostels will be separate for boys and girls. The security will be very tight 24*7 Mess food is the best compared to any other hostel in AP Separate cuisines will be offered for Local, other state and foreign students.

The seniors will be helpful mostly in the hostels. Since they will be living close to us, we can reach them anytime to clarify doubts, ask for advice regarding books, sports and events in University. It would be fun to work with them while conducting events in University

Exams are regular in Vignan university i.e literally every week. Internal marks are divided between Weekends and Mid Examinations. You will have an weekend examination every week on Monday (mostly) which helps us to improve our internal marks. You will write 6 or 7 weekends per subject per semester.Most of times they will consider best of 4 or 5 (it varies every time). You will have 3 Mid exams per semester out of which, two best results are considered. There will be total of 100 marks out of which 60 for sem end exam or external and 40 as internals Internals are furthur divided into 18+18 ( Weekend + Mid) and remaining 4 marks are based on attendance. Labs will have two exams.Internals and externals and 100 marks are divided into 50+50 respectively.

After completing +2 or diploma, you can directly go to the admission cell of the university. Based on your performances in VSAT, +2 marks, EAMCET, IIT, JEE , ECET(only Diploma candidates), they will give an estimate of your fee for the branches you asked for. They will give the info about seats available for a particular branch, Its always best to get admission as soon as the admission starts( Dates available in University website ) because of the rapid competition. CSE,MECH, ECE are the most fastfilling branches followed by EEE,CIVIL,Biotech,Chemical,Textile etc..

Vignan has the top notch faculty compared to any other institution in AP.The minimum qualification of the faculty in Vignan university is Masters from any IIT or NIT in their particular stream.So they will have thorough knowledge in their subject. HOD's and few faculty will have Doctorate who deals with typical subjects in their branches. They are friendly and we can go to their cabins if you have doubts or ask during class One more thing is that each student will have a lecturer as mentor who asks personally about about your studies,attendance, problems etc. They will counsel you every week and a seperate counselling period is allotted, so that you wont miss a chance.
