I took IIT, CBSE, Bihar engineering entrance, AMU entrance examinations, Got 4000 rank in IIT, 12000 Rank in CBSE with 14 Rank in Architecture. Passed Bihar exam also. Got selected in AMU too, Took admission here because the Campus, Lab and faculty member is comparable to IIT. I did not take admission in IIT because my rank was too poor to get a good branch. I opted Mechanical in ZHCET which i feet was the best decision made by me at that point of time.

The course structure was a bit old but all the books which we followed was from best writers, eg our teacher asked us to read F M White book for Fluid Mechanics which is the best in its field. all the other college was reading average books which did not describe the problems in a good way. Our course was very good

Few company came for internship, my friend got internship in TCS, and he describe that the package was good during 2-3 month internship i do not know much about it.

The placement was very good in 2008 and before, Many core and IT company came for Placement and provided good opportunity, I have also got my first job by college placement in Tractebel Engineering and Construction India Limited. The offer was quite lucrative with Core design job profile.

Transfer and Placement Office (general) in collaboration with Residential Coaching Academy organized a counselling workshop on “Jobs in government sector” and “how to qualify for civil services examination” at the Kennedy auditorium of Aligarh Muslim University. Six pass out students of AMU who have qualified the coveted civil service examination for 2014 conducted by UPSC were present. The workshop was followed by the inaugural ceremony of the AMU Student Edition. Both these events were also organised in the Women’s College separately in their auditorium for undergraduate girls.

The fee structure is very very less. being Central University its fee is nothing as compared to other government colleges, The Hotel fee was about 1500 for 6 month and food costs about 750 for a month. Food quality was awesome with two day chicken in a weak and egg, paneer was also two day.

There are various scholarships available which are on merit basis and sometimes on the basis of financial condition of the ward as well. AMU Roboclub is a student’s body which caters to the need of electronics enthusiasts and hobbyists in creating an environment which is driven by innovation and implementation. Run under the able guidance and supervision of faculty advisors from various branches of engineering, AMU Roboclub stands as an epitome of marvel. It not only acts as a platform for zealous students to hone their skills in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Computers and Mechanical but also prepares them for various national competitions by encouraging participation.

Hotel was very specious and open grounds are available to play, there was a badminton court in the hostel loan, a mosque is also there, we have a big common room for indoor games and TV, This facility was best. We had two table tennis board and many other indoor paying items eg, Carom board , Chess etc

The students of AMU are spread all over the world, just as Sir Syed prophesied when the foundation stone of MAO College was being laid down. The Exams and Lab structure is hectic and frequent but we have attended class everyday so the exam stress was minimal. The lecture was delivered so good that we did not require any extra effort to understand the questions. We just need to practice many numerical from the books and clear our basic understanding

There was an Entrance test for All Indian students, at that time center was in Aligarh only. We have gone to Aligarh for the test, there was lack of hotels in the town so the we have got a place to stay in the university hall. The hostel and its food was very good which drive me to take a quick decision to opt this college.

Best, most of the faculty members are Phd from IIT and many have done research is MIT and other international renowned institution. Many of the professor have got awards and patent for their work in the field of engineering. My professor got a patent for double acting pump at that time.
