I have chosen JEE-Mains examination which I had appeared in 2013 and secured the rank of 23104. I belong to OBC category. This also helped me to get into IIIT-A. As I was majorly interested in the field of IT and after my results out from JEE Mains I explored various universities and found IIIT Allahabad as the best university which would help me to achieve my dream.

The curriculum is too good for an aspiring engineer in the respective field of Information Technology. Staring with basic courses moving to advanced level, teaching practice not only focuses theoretical way but also mostly in a practical way where we would be asked to do projects in each semester. And from the third year, we would be given choice to pick up electives based on our interest. Some of the electives I had picked during my graduation were Data Mining and Warehousing, Natural Language Process. We are also allowed to pick up research-based projects during our minor and major projects.

Yes, Our college allows us to do an industry-based internship. Once for two months intern after the 6th semester and 6-months intern in the final semester. They allow MNC's to come to the universities, pick students for internship. The stipend for two months internship and 6 months internship would be same on monthly basis. The general stipend for most of the companies would be around 20k-30k. The overall experience of my intern is satisfactory and great experience in learning new this. I have done the internship in a startup. So, I could tell my experience in detail. It basically depends on which company you are choosing to for internship based on what interests. Some of the companies which came for taking students for intern are Times Internet, Amazon, Flipkart, Morgan Stanley, Direct-I, Expedia, Make My Trip, JP Morgan, Infurnia, well established startups and many others offering stipend 20-30k Indian rupees.

This college is ranked best college in India on the terms of placement during the period 2016-17. A total of more than 100 companies visited the campus and all over offers were made. So many companies came to this college for campus recruitment. 100% of the students got placed. It is comparable to top 5 IITs and top 3 NITs considering we are only a 15 yr old institute with only 2 branches i.e IT and ECE.

Our college conducts three big fests every academic year. The major fest is named as "Effervescence". It would be going for 3-5 days. Many cultural events would be taking place like singing, drama's, variety of dances(solo, duet, group). Many colleges's from around India would come here and participate to win cash prizes in each event. Other than these cultural events we would also be having interesting in-formal based events like gully cricket, golgappa eating competition etc, a celebrity night, where a famous celebrity would be called by our university and perform. So far I have seen "Neha Kakkar", "Sona Mohapatra", "Raeth Band" in my graduation and finally a DJ night. Apart from this major fest of our college we also have technical fest named "Aparoksha" and sports Fest "Asmita" In aparoksha, we will be mostly having technical competitions based on new technologies, coding competition, and a major event called "hack in the North", largest student-based hackathon. And finally, inter-college sports meet, where would be having many athletics competition, and many indoor and outdoor sports events.

The fee structure in our college is feasible as compared to many other best universities in India. In my graduate, my tuition fee was 35000 per semester, and other funds include up to 5k and hostel fees of 5k and mess fee of 10k. Overall fees for my graduation per semester was up to 60,000 Indian rupees. We were provided with highly infra structured covering every facility required for labs. Spatial classrooms, centralized AC facility throughout campus, Student Activity Center for indoor sports, dramatic practice, dance practice etc. An auditorium for watching movies, a ground for playing cricket. All these facilities were provided exceptionally well for a feasible fee.

Our college provides scholarships in two categories explained below and also we have government scholarships. 1.Merit incentive award: 36k per sem in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th semester if you are in top 10 (in IT) and top 6 (in ECE). 2. Merit cum means: awarded on basis of income of the family and your performance. 18k per semester. 3. Government scholarships: above two are given at institute level. Yoy can also get your fee reimbursement from the government if you lie in a specific income group. The sum varies depending on fee.

The IIIT Allahabad campus is beautiful, offering facilities such as an auditorium, bank, cafeteria, conference room, library, guest house and hostels. The gender ratio in our college is 6:1 , for every 6 male students equals to one female student. The IIIT-A central library has a repository of more than 58000 books concerning various disciplines of study such as Pure and Applied Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Security, Bio-informatics, and Management Studies. As a time, it can accommodate up to 100 students. The Institute boasts of the state-of-the-art Laboratories, which offers the students the opportunity to exploit the full potential within. Few institutes offer Laboratories at par with IIIT Allahabad. Also, the students are granted 24 * 7 access to the Labs, in order to promote self-paced learning. Each lab has experienced managers to assist the students in their overall growth and development. During our technical fests there were many competetions related our respective fields, robot competitions like cross the line, boat race in pool, competetive coding etc.

Strong alumina network. Alumin event organized frequently in institution senior students guidance available for the current student. Our senior students help us a lot in starting off our btech. They explain us every aspect of the college how to use each and every facility, improve our academics, soft skills and much more. They are as a role model for us.

In IIIT Allahabad exam structure is divided into modules. We would be having a theoretical as well as practical(lab-tests) way of evaluation. For theoretical subject exams, we need to write were mid-semester and end-semester exams and internal assessments will also be done frequently once in 2 weeks. It's not hectic as well as it's not even chill to take it lightly. You would be having one way or the other assessments but with enough gap in between. Coming to lab evaluation we would be evaluated by 2 exams mid and end-lab tests. In place of one lab test, we are also be asked to do a minor project related to the subject.

Firstly, we need to clear class XII, then appear for JEE-Mains examination through which this university takes into admission. Then after the examination results are out, online web counseling procedure starts where we are allowed to choose our choices accordingly to our preferences. I have chosen this university as my first preference and got accordingly as my jee mains rank and class XII marks satisfy eligibility criteria for IIIT-A. Then we need to go to a nearby reporting center and confirm our admission by filling an application, paying a nominal fee and certificate verification. Then finally we would be given a date in joining the university, we need to go on that date and join the university by signing an application and paying first semester fees.
