SVCOE with Prem Kumar Sir's Knowledge

College chairman is ready to invest money to improve the Saraswathi velu college of engineering, But management is not responding properly and they are not working for the college. So many colleges in Tamil nadu has started later then SVCOE but improved a lot. But in this college is not improved and no proper management no marketing no technical placements.

I joined here with Management Quota as i am from Andhra Pradesh student. So many of our friends also joined.

Anna University course structure is very nice, and it is useful for the job . Every subject is covered from basics to in depth. Each chapter is covered with technical concepts. As these subjects are little difficult only few lecturers are able to teach and few are struggled to teach with out books.

College is not providing any Internship programs, as they are not providing any internships there is no stipend as well.

Saraswathi Velu college of engineering is not offering any placements, and not conducted any job fairs. But they will be sending students to other colleges job fairs. Most of the times they will send best students to VIT Vellore. And some students got placed there.

Saraswathi Velu college of engineering college conducts from events the list of events are 1) Annual Sports Day 2) Founder's day 3) Some Symposiums 4) Freshers Day

When i was studying our fee structure is Rs.35000/- college fees, and they will collect extra fees fro exam fees, university fees, etc around Rs.10000/- and lab charges will be around Rs.2000/- and hostel fees is around 40000/- per year. But the above fee structure is 10 years back. I don't have idea about current fee structure.

College is not offering any loan facility, and they wont provide nay scholarship.They will take only fees and fines from the students. These fines are good for students control.

Campus life is good, Gender ratio will be 60:40 male and female. Here some time symposiums will be conducted and every week seminars will be conducted. No religion festivals no politics no extracurricular activities. Labs will be conducted properly. Some project competitions will be conducted on Robotics or communication and some times electronics and Software too.

Hostel is not that much good, Because rooms are not cleaned properly and bath rooms are not cleaned daily. They think like every student has to stay in hostel only but no proper maintenance. Hostel Water tank will be cleaned yearly once. If you come to food, afternoon they make good food, but morning and night they wont make good food.

Yeah senior students got placed in some good companies, they are suggesting juniors to study them selves as teaching staff have very less knowledge on subjects.

Saraswathi Velu college of engineering conducts exams very strictly. The pattern comes from Anna University both internal and external exams. Saraswathi Velu college of engineering director is very strict and he will be in-charge for all exams. For first year only one time exam and from second year two semesters.

You can get easy admission through management seat and with less fees, or you can get admission in this college by TNCET which is conducted by Ann University every year. There is two types of admission on is for First year and other is Second year direct admission as lateral entry. For first year you need to be pass minimum +12.

Our college faculty is very good in teaching. Some lecturers don't have complete idea on subjects and what they are teaching, that time they will take books and write in board. And try to control the students in Labs and internal marks. Some lectures will teach with good example. Only prem kumar sir is teaching good.
