In depth review

Good remarks are that here you will get all over development but you have to be expert and talented in order to pursue all your dreams in the college as so many students are here to take your chance. And the bad remarks are like no core companies are there so you have to work in bloody IT department companies even if you studied electronics in your 4 years of engineering.

I took JEE Entrance examination, scored around 110 and i got these college as this year percentile system is there and i have 89% so by combination of JEE scores. I take MP government counselling and in this i have selected this college as IET is the top most college in mp after GSITS. So by this process i have taken this college.

Course structure is good but not so excellent, here you will get the syllabus wise study and no extra research but whatever course structure is there is easy and scoring and also it follows AICTE rules like CBCS System. General syllabus is there according to CBCS system and also scoring pattern is accordingly and easy to score as we have scores pf 2 mid terms plus final semester exams and the aggregate of this will be given as final grades.

College generally provides internships on regular basis like training of various industries, work structures and development in IT companies and students also search and get them by applying through internshala which is the best platform nowadays. Generally stipend is around 15 max to max as per my knowledge, as i am in second year so there is not so much experience i have regarding this.

Placements and job opportunities are good and an average student can get placed in 2 3 companies if you have a little knowledge of coding and if you are confident enough to crack an interview. Companies come to campus on regular basis and in the starting of 4th year many students placed and in whole year companies came here to take students. Most of the companies here are mass recruiters and all are from IT department. You will not get any of the core company of you are here take admissions in electronics department. In mechanical and civil some of the core companies come to take students.

Many technical cultural events are held throughout the year in order to enjoy and do something different from studies. You can take part in any extra curricular activity in any event as per your interest and talent. Also there are so many clubs are there in which you can go and be the part like CSI, EWB,ACM, cultural club. In this college AAKSHANK is celebrated which is the central India's largest fest in which there are we have celebrity night, dj night and so many activities like burma bridge, stuntmania. Also in IET a tech fest named invento is being organized in which many workshops events are there.

The fee structure is feasible not so expensive. The fees is nearly 70000 which is quite affordable although not for the students like me who came from general category and whose parents does not have enough income. All the private colleges charge you more than this and even some of the colleges charge you over 1.5 lac per year which is not feasible. You will not get any institution with this such reputation and this low fees as even in NITS and IITS you have to pay more than this although their reputation is much higher, but the fees structure is feasible.

Many scholarships and loan facilities are available but you have to be in sc /st category for this purpose. From this year a new scholarship is launched in which if your rank is below 50000 in JEE government will pay for your college fees. You have to chill and so many scholarships are there for category students not for general category students.

Campus life is pretty good one will enjoy his/her four years of life here. Gender ratio is low in electronic civil and mechanical departments like 40:20 but in computer IT department it is almost same. Various extracurricular activities are held throughout the year, sports activities like ISC and various competitions held in the techfest INVENTO. And also debates are held which is being conducted by IET Cultural club.

The hostel facilities are not that good and i would rate it as average because of the cleanliness issue and also the quality of the food there we get is very poor. Although food is cheap but not is of good quality. PG you can find in many areas around the college but it is more than what you pay in college hostel like 3000 per month is only you have to pay if you want a room at good locality with sharing.

Alumni network is going strong day by day here as many students are getting placed i companies like mu sigma, volvo, mahindra and various big companies. Alumni here have strong relations with companies and in industry. Senior students also are very helpful and also some students go to US UK to pursue higher studies.

Exam structure is based on CBCS system and we have scheduled pattern of exams and calendar is scheduled. Labs are not that good here if you want to really learn something, here you can get simple instruments in which some of them are not working and noone is there to replace them. They are like used here from so many years.

Admission is being granted when you get allotment in the college through MP level counselling and general process is there like you have to go to college after you got the dates to take admission and fill up simple form and to submit some documents like 10th class mark sheet 12th class marksheet you JEE score card, income certificate if you have provided that you family income is low, caste certificate if necessary and some simple documentation process is there and for fees you have to make a DD.

Faculty is good and qualified in their respective fields. Most of the teachers are post graduates and some teachers are even research holders in physics, electronics departments. Faculty is interested and solve all your doubts in class as well as outside and also take Care of every small problem but if and only if you consult them otherwise no one is free to given you knowledge even if you are not interested.
