TOP 5th College of M.P.

College management is corrupt .Politics between director and teachers. Environment is not so motivating of this college.

JEE (mains) I scored 43/360. This is a famous college actually government college of M.P. I did asked a teacher of Jabalpur Engineering College about this college, he told that it is no difference in Samrat Ashok Technological College and Jabalpur Engineering College . So I chose this college.

Course Structure has been reduced so far. In first year we learnt all the basic subjects and their basic important topics like physics, chemistry,maths ,etc.Then in second year we were learning our branch course or subjects like in my branch I learnt Operating system, DBMS,Java,etc. then in all the three years we learn our subjects like I am learning Compiler design,software engineering, etc.

No college does not provide internship. But this year students of third year gave an aptitude test for a company Smart Prix, in which no one got selected. Students prefer to do internship by themselves by applying through Internshala.

Capegemini, Tata Consulting Services , Smart Prix came this year where Capegemini selected 13 students where Tata Consulting Services has not visited yet but last year they selected only 3 students and 40 students in 2 years back. It depends on students totally how they face campus opportunities.

Satyarth is celebrated as technical festival in this college and Samrat Utsav as cultural festival. Technical fest lasts two days where there are many workshops , events, games too.Students take responsibility for its arrangements where director provides funds for it. Samrat Utsav also lasts for 2 days and teachers make all the arrangements.

Fee structure for core branches is feasible but not for other branches . It should be same for every branches .So ultimately it is expensive for branches like Information Technology, Biomedical, Petrochemical,Electronic sand Communication but feasible for Mechanical branch, Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation.

Scholarship plan is available for SC/ST/OBC and minor community students. Income of their parents matter allot here . Loan facility is also offered by college.

Campus life is not so cool as gender inequality problem is still here. Girls are in ratio is 1:3. In extracurricular NCC is involved and also some clubs have been made for interests of students. Sports are very active here every year teams goes different colleges in different sports.

Hostel Facilities are not that much good because hostel building is very old and during rains they causes problems. Hostel staff is very lazy .There is not that much cleanliness in hostel while mess food makes students sick. Girls have many restrictions whereas boys have not.

Alumni network is vast . One of our seniors is vice president in cape Gemini while one is Nobel Prize winner some are IAS OR IPS etc. They give proper guidance to us time to time.

It not very hectic day but not so chilled out attendance of course matters allot even we write great in exams but it is our attendance on which basis we get marks in lab assignments and quizzes. It is very difficult to get full marks and here we get grades not marks in numbers.

After declaration of JEE results I got very bad marks. So there was no scope to find any NIT or IIIT. So I filled for M.P. counselling for colleges which were online submitted.After that we went for a round for documents verification in which I went to a government college of Jabalpur ( Jabalpur Engineering College and Polytechnic College) where our documents where checked properly. Then college was allot to us then I came this college and got admission.

Faculty is very dedicated towards studies as well as other cultural activities. Although teachers are not very good in English but still they try hard for students where some teachers are stars for this college. Teachers are also punctual and some teach us through projectors also while some prefer to write in blackboards.
