Likes

Some faculties are really very good, they have a good teaching experience. They explains topic very well.
Our campus is surrounded by trees along with a big play ground at the entrance of the college.

Dislikes

Library facilities is not good, there have not sufficient number of books and most available books are ver much old

Course Curriculum Overview

I have a little bit of Intrest so I choose this. Faculty-student Ratio is 1:8. They are well-educated and have much experience most of them are phd holders. They teach really very well. North Bengal University conducts semester exams after every 6 months. Also, class tests on college on every paper are also conducted which allocates 15 marks for our semester exam.

Class Size: 10000Course Fees: INR 3300 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

If any student doesn't pay their fees in the given time they would have to pay 200 rupess extra as a fine basically the semester fee in our course is 1700. Basically, we get Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship to get this one must have passed the previous year with minimum of 60% marks. Any other financial assistance is not provided for general category students. No on-campus jobs are provided.

Campus Life

Fest on social and freshers welcome organized once in a year, besides that various sports programs are also organized. We celebrate various programs such as national environment day, national tree day etc. Various sports programs are also conducted once a year. In the library availability of books are so poor and old versioned we need more books, although the classrooms are pretty good. We have a TMCP union in our college and it's controlled by students.

Admission

One student should study in the arts stream in 11 and 12 to be eligible for this course. Application forms and all details will be provided by North Bengal University on their website. Application fees may vary according to your cast. Reservations are provided for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC EWS categories. NBU should update their website it's really very annoying and full of bugs.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

How an average student sees his College

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.

A good government aided college

I applied for Siliguri college, Darjeeling college, Kurseong college and I get the chance of admission in these colleges.
