Entrance Preview

BHU UET ENTRANCE TEST. i scored 199/300 i preferred it over other agriculture colleges because it is in BHU which is well known university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course structure is decided by ICAR ( indian council of agricultural research). agriculture course consists of wide range of subjects. there are around thirteen subjects. the subjects is divided into courses. Each semester consists minimum of eight courses. yes there is focus on research from fourth year but more emphasis on research is given for post graduates. there is no shortage of resources for research. if one wants to do research he or she will be supported.

Internships Opportunities

fourth year students go to villages to collect data and explaining rural peoples. the students are prepared for conditions of rural areas and how to deal with the questions of farmers and explain them in lucid manner.

Placement Experience

2.5

agriculture has wide range of job opportunities. students can find job in both public and private sectors. placement cell is active in the college. many banks used to come for placement to select students for the post of agriculture field officer in bank with package of 5 lacs per annum. now very few agro based companies come for placement.

College Events

5

the institute being part of BHU is always supportive of all round development of students. Both cultural and sports events are conducted. all undergraduates and post graduate students take part in these events. guest lectures are conducted. events are also conducted separately in hostels of both boys and girls. festivals like saraswati puja also celebrated. awareness programs are also conducted every now and then.

Fee Structure And Facilities

as it is part of central university the fee is very much next to nothing compared to other agricultural colleges. main campus: total fee per annum- rs 4500 south campus ( mirzapur) rs 25000 per semester extra along with main fee. fee is not taken from sc/st students.

Fees and Financial Aid

the students who got admission from ICAR exam are provided with scholarship rs 1000 per month. the institute has a scheme named "Earn while you learn" for students from poor background. they are provided with part time job in the institute.

Campus Life

4.5

the institute is in BHU. when you are in BHU you are provided with good no. of opportunities to explore yourself. separate ground is provided for our institute for sports activities. various competition are held throughout the year for students of different interest. students from various states bring their culture with them. the talent of students are recognized and given opportunities. BHU has asia'S LARGEST collection of books in library. cyber library with capacity of 400 computers. national level competitions are conducted in various field.

Hostel Facilities

4

the hostel provide enough facilities for students. the agricultural hostel for boys consists of 120 rooms. each room is shared by 2 students. LAN connection is provided to each room. there is a T.V. room, gymnasium and library. there are two mess and canteen in a hostel. good sanitation is maintained in the hostel. mess administration is not in the hands of administration. food quality fluctuates every time. overall above average food.( 3/5 )

Alumni/Alumna

the seniors in my institute are very helpful. it is anti ragging zone. they guide us every time we approach them. our alumini include agricultural scientist and IPS officers. they visit the instiute to share their experience. one of our alumini went to US army also.

Exam Structure

the schedule is little bit hectic. each day consists of two practical periods two hours each and two theory classes one hours each. miniimum 24 exams are conducted each semester ( 16 theory+ 8 practicals). after two years students get bored of exams.

Admission

the admission is done based on BHU UET or ICAR entrance examination marks. the students who qualified ICAR exam are also eligible for admission. i got admission from my UET marks. a call letter was sent to my e-mail after result. specific time was allotted based on merit and counselling was done to verify all the documents. the counselling process was offline. after verification they asked to submit fees and after submission of semester fee i got admitted. the semester started just one week after counselling.

Faculty

4

the faculty members are well qualified in their respective fields. faculty members include scientist and researchers. however some of the professors are not good teachers. they know their subject but very few do homework on" how to teach" aspect. i like that all the teachers are punctual with their teaching time.

Placement Experience:

The placements for the B.Sc Agriculture course at Invertis University are growing but may not be very high compared to technical courses. Some companies visit the campus for agriculture-related roles such as agri-input companies, seed companies, fertilizer companies, and marketing positions. Students with good communication and technical knowledge usually get good opportunities. However, not every student may get a direct campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.
