I took JEE Mains, scored 97.4 percentile, and I opted for IIIT Allahabad because of its good faculty and placement statistics.

The course curriculum was well balanced, and included most of the major Computer Science and Information Technology related electives, such as: Database Management Systems, Object Oriented Methodologies, Data Structures and Algorithms, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Database Security, Programming Languages, Principles of Programming Languages etc.

Yes, the general Stipend varies from 25000 to 85000 per month. We can pursue summer internships after third year for 2.5 months and/or 6 months internships in the final semester. Most internships are converted to full time offers.

Multiple companies visited our campus, sometimes in the same day, from the very beginning of our fourth year. The average package was around 12 lakhs per annum, the maximum being around 35 lpa and some companies are: amazon, direct i, Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, arista networks, etc

The campus is very big, around 40000 square meters in size, green, neat and clean. The campus life was one of the best parts of my college life. The campus has a big swimming pool, a basketball court, a tennis court, multiple volleyball courts, badminton courts, table tennis tables, 2 gyms and virtually every sport facility.

Hostels are twin sharing for the first 3 years and individual rooms for the final year. The accommodation was average, however, we had 24x7 power and internet supply. Washrooms were average. Mess food differed from hotel to hostel. There are 5 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels.

The alumni network though till now average, is going to be very strong in the future, with college taking steps to ensure the contact with passed out students.

We had two exams every semester : mid semester exams and end semester exams. The mid semester exams were usually very hectic with sometimes two exams the same day. However, the end semester exams were well spaced out in terms of number of days, as well as relevance of leaves according to subjects.

The admission process was through CSAB(Central Seat Allocation Board), where in the process included filling up choices among st all colleges who take admission through Jee Mains and seats were allocated in colleges in subsequent rounds. There were a total of three normal rounds and one spot round for seat allocation in the admission process.

Most of the faculty was well qualified and had very organised and structured courses. The classes were quiet detailed, and covered all the aspects of the subjects we were taught. Also, we had regular lab tests which mostly tested our practical knowledge apart of the theoretical knowledge from reading books.
