JSS Review

I wanted to go for CS IT but ended up with ECE. It's nice though. Teachers are well qualified here. I enjoyed learning communication systems and EMFT. Exams are held timely and results are also released timely. The exam center was usually ABES College but can change.

Not a lot of internships were offered. But some students dig deep and got offers. It's all about how you prepare yourself. Undergrads are all about acquiring skills and keeping on updating the CV. Don't be dependent.

The highest can go up to 15lpa. The average at JSS is around 5lpa. Although it depends on the skills the students possess. Students of the 7th and 8th sem are eligible. I sat for the placement and got placed. It was a decent offer.

The annual fee was 110000. There are scholarship opportunities at JSS but you need to be aware and dig for them. The same goes for internships. The fee hike was around 10% till I was there although I am not sure of now. It keeps on changing. And has a huge COVID effect.

Techno cultural annual fest is called ZEALICON and the sports fest is called MYTHRI. It's great if you participate in the events. We used to hold lots of fun events. Robo Wars was the star of Zealicon. Also, my society which was a social society YFAC held Treasure Ville. It was a huge event. Mythri also has a FUN GAMES section for those who are not interested in actual sports.

I was in girls hostel and trust me the food was good. They served only veg but the taste used to be really really good. North Indian, south Indian , Chinese everything. And trust me the breakfast at JSS is worth waking up. I still remember the evening snack with tea. Hostel is affordable. Students only planned the menu. Also they have mess PARTIES every sem.

You need to be a 12th pass. I think 60% minimum is required I am not sure though. Also, it takes students via UPTU competitive exam. Now it must be under the combined JEE MAIN exam. State government college so reservations are as per govt rules. The admission process was smooth.
