Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of my interest in this sector. The faculty-student ratio is 1:60. Along with this, personal mentorship is also provided by the faculty. Faculty members are well qualified. They are PhD holders from a big B-school. There are 3 trimesters each year. There is a provision for mid-term exams and end-term exams in each trimester. It is very easy to pass if the student is sincere and class notes are enough to pass the exam.
Internships Opportunities
There are various excellent brands that came on campus for summer internships. This includes apollo hospital, Maxx Healthcare, blk max Hospital, kauvery hospital, Narayana Health, Napier Healthcare etc. The stipend is decent.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester onward. There are over 150+ companies visiting the campus. The highest package for 2023 is around 64 lakhs with an average of 16.53lpa. 100 per cent of students are placed through campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 17,50,000 for two years including the hostel fee. Mess charges are extra. 17,50,00 also includes other academic/non-academic expenses which include academic support, library fee, hostel fee, IT Infrastructure, Student welfare, alumni fees, health insurance etc. Caution fee (refundable) of 20000 rs to be paid at the time of admission in addition to fee and expenses mentioned. There are various scholarships for SC/ST students as well as meritorious students. One can go through the website of IIM JAMMU for better clearance.
Campus Life
Annual fest - EMPERYREAM (conducted in March 2023) There is a large no. of books, e- books and journals available in the library. The classroom is having all amenities required by the students as well as faculty members. There are various tournaments and matches at regular intervals.
Hostel Facilities
Study table, chair and almirah Meal is good The registration process of the hostel is generated by the administration. The hostels for boys and girls are on campus only. So, there is no need for rented accommodation outside.
Admission
Anyone can apply for this course. The minimum eligibility criteria are graduation from any university. The students can apply for this course through CAT(common admission test). Yes, there is a reservation based on the category. The admission process is so smooth.
Interview Experience
There is a CAT exam followed by a PI. In the CAT exam, Questions are from Quants, Logical reasoning and data interpretation and verbal ability and reading comprehension. Questions in the interview were technical and well as from current affairs. The process includes CAT+PI+Academic as well as the non-academic profile of the candidate I prepared on my own by going through the syllabus thoroughly.
