IIM RAIPUR's PGPM program is it's flagship program and is highly valued and recognised in the industry. IIM Raipur is one of the top MBA institute of the country and the pedagogy and the mix of student fraternity from varied background adds up to the experience. I did my graduation and engineering and worked for few years but understood that doing an MBA is very important in order to get career progression and that too from a IIM is definitely a go to choice. The faculty members at IIM RAIPUR are top notch and very high-quality researchers. The average student to faulty ratio should be around 10:1 considering all the programs and students, which is very good. The teaching is a mix of theory, practical , case study and project oriented which helps to learn and implement things. There are 3 terms in an year and all are planned before hand. The exams are very transparent. Passing here is a mix of hard work , in depth understanding and effective strategy making.

All students in the first year of pgpm have to compulsorily do a summer internship as part of their course The college provides assistance for the summer placement of all students and all get placed. Around 100+ companies visit the campus for an internship, the average stipend is above 1 lac.

The placement college is good and there's 100% placement. The highest package is around 60+lpa and the average around 21lpa All first yr students are eligible for summer internship placements and second-year students for Final placement. I'll join one of the companies after completing my MBA

The total fee is around 18lakhs for the two years program spread across 6 terms of 2 years. Students need to pay a seat acceptance fee while taking admission, a first-term fee in around 15-20 days' time and then regular instalments before a new term starts. The fees are clearly mentioned and clear beforehand and are available on the college website. There are various scholarships for SC and ST from time to time by the government.

The campus life here at IIM RAIPUR is very vibrant. The campus itself is located away from the chaos of the city and in a very serene location. There are different social and cultural events happening in the college at regular intervals and also the Annual Fest Karmanta which is a highly celebrated event The campus is student-driven and all committees and clubs have student representatives. You get all the books and course material before term starts and the library is also open 24*7. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned. There are a dedicated sports complex, tennis court, football and cricket ground and other sports places. There's a gym and swimming pool as well.

As the pgpm is a full-time residential program, hostels are compulsory for all students. The hostels are single accommodations with radiant cooling and dual accommodation with AC. It is sufficient for one to live. There's a mess in the house which serves breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner The food is good and has a menu to cover all geographies. The hostel is allocated on a first come first serve basis or lottery basis as well. Administration takes care of the same.

I appeared for CAT, which is the primary and compulsory step to be eligible for admission to any IIM. Post which you get your cat percentile and based on the sectional cutoffs(given on the website) you receive a primary shortlist for further admission process(PI) After that, you have to appear for PI and post a composite score calculated based on your profile (gender/education background/workex/any achievement, etc ) + CAT percentile+ PI score to give admission offers to applicants. All graduates in any stream recognised by the government are eligible to appear and take admitted to IIM RAIPUR. You only need to fill out the CAT form available on the website of IIM hosting the cat for that year. Reservation cutoff and benefits are mentioned on the website and their criteria. Some improvement I would like to suggest is to streamline the entire process of onboarding the students and releasing offers.
