What Students Say
Likes
- The cohort and a few of the hackathons organized were good.
- The faculties were knowledgeable especially computer networks by ankur kulhari.
Dislikes
- The campus needs to be a lot better especially the 128 campus needs to either shut down or needs to occupy more area.
- The placements are a sham and completely bogus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course aligned with my personal interest. The student ratio was almost 65:35 in a batch of 2014-18. The faculty collected regular feedback and were updating their curriculum on a regular basis based on industry trends. The term exams happened every 3 months (twice in a semester of 6 months) and the tests were completely application based so the exams were never high scoring.
Placement Experience
Placements are offered but they will send students anywhere just to be done with the batch so they could write 100% done quickly. Students have been sent over to BPOs after doing a 4-year course in CSE. The placement team RUINS CAREERS just to show a good result and maintain their image.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were raised 45,000 to 50,000 per semester for every new incoming batch and the institute was starting to lose value for money because of it. The cost to study came close to 12-14Lakhs overall. The job assistance isn't all that good.
Campus Life
The annual fest was impressions and it happened in February. The library is limited and does not have much to offer. The classrooms are smart rooms well equipped, sports and extra curricular were almost nonexistent and the social clubs only became active during the fests.
Admission
The eligibility depends solely on the JEE Mains rankings and it is different for different streams. The application form comes out around June, there are minimal application fees of around a thousand INR. The process of admission is in person and the selected student has to go to JIIT Noida 62 campus.
