Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the MBBS course because I love studying Biology a lot and it was my dream to become a doctor. We have nearly 6 - 10 faculties for every subject and the total number of students in every batch is 125. As it is AIIMS, the faculties are highly qualified, they have completed their master's from renowned colleges. Term exams are of a good standard so one can't pass it without studying properly. Even students need 50 % marks in internal exams to appear for term exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

All students who complete their MBBS from this college get the opportunity to do an Internship from this college itself and get a stipend of 28,000 per month, which is good enough as compared to other state colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of our college is 5856 rupees including the hostel fee as well. We have to give a mess fee: 3500/ month & the rest are our personal expenses. Here we can apply for various scholarships like FFE, and NSP, but these scholarships are not provided by the college.

Campus Life

3.5

We enjoy a lot in our college. Our annual fest is' Oriana' which is central India's largest fest. Many celebrities are being invited to this fest. We have a library on 3 floors, all different kinds of books starting from our course to literature, comics, and magazines also. We have an E-library as well in which students can use laptops from the library. Large size, Air Conditioned Classrooms, projector facility is also available in it. We have many clubs in our college like UMMEED - Undying Mission of Medicos for Enhancement and Empowerment of the Deprived.

Hostel Facilities

4

In 1st year double occupancy rooms are provided with attached Lat - batch and a kitchen and balcony. From 2nd year onwards single room is provided to every student but Lat - the baths are not attached to the room. Our mess fee is 3500 per month. Like every other mess food quality is Average. The menu is good. We just have to fill out a consent form before joining hostels, we can join hostels after getting college admission. We all students live in the hostels allotted by the college to us.

Admission

For getting admission to this college student needs to score good marks & good rank in the NEET entrance exam. One can get the neet application form on their website nta.nic.in, The application fee is different for different categories nearly 1300 for General and Obc. nearly 650 for SC and ST. Cut off of 2021 for our college was General: 675+ / 720, Obc: 650 + /720, Sc: 610 + /720, St: 580+ / 720. The admission process is ok.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
