Course Curriculum Overview
I took up commerce in class 11th, related subjects always intrigued me plus I knew pursuing BMS would give me a practical approach to management along with theory subjects. Faculty: Student ratio was 1:11. Our teachers used cases and interactions along with pushing us to read newspapers and have discussions around them. Studying 1 day before exams can work but to have a knack for subjects, it advisable is to regularly attend classes and ask doubts.
Internships Opportunities
College doesn't promise any internship, students went to internship mela outside the college or used LinkedIn to get one. Though Placement Cell was planning to organize one offline internship fest but it got canceled due to Covid.
Placement Experience
The College was first set up for Applied Sciences like BSc in Chemistry, Physics, and Biotechnology, and later on, management courses were introduced. Hence, companies with diverse portfolios came for on-campus placements. For management students, the rules offered were finance and business development Associate, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't sit for placements before I wanted to pursue higher studies. The fees were quite affordable and students from economically backward classes also got the scholarship. The average stipend which other students got from on-campus placements was 4-5 lakhs.
Campus Life
Life at Rajguru College is a blend of fun and seriousness. It had plenty of clubs like Enactus, Mark Haven(Marketing club), Raqam (Finance Club), Cultural clubs, etc. Annual Departmental fests along with college fests awaiting events on campus. Classrooms with blackboards and a good light sound structure helped us to enjoy ourselves there. Though It would have been better if projector settings were better-taken care of. Subject books could be easily found with a no. of copies in the library.
Admission
The course is Bachelor of Management Studies- you need to have Maths in 11th and 12th for this. Our exam was DU-CET, currently, it has changed to CUET. The application form is accessible around Jan- Feb and fees are minimal for this. Details can be found on the DU website. I didn't exploit any Reservation benefits. The process of admission didn't have a specific timeline or kept on delaying. I think having exact details of admission and exam dates helps students especially those coming from a different state to plan accordingly.
