Overview of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

I have joined the Computer Science Engineering branch because I am very much interested in software. I like programming languages and coding for real-world situations from my schooling. The faculty members here are involved in research and most of the faculty members are researchers. For each subject, there will be 3 to 4 members of assistant faculties. If students have any doubts they can contact faculty cabins and they will also allow students to contact them through MS teams or other sources. The teachers here are very much qualified and have nearly 20 years of experience and have PhD qualifications. The exams here conducted will be difficult. The difficulty level will be between medium and hard. If the student studies well they can score 75% score in the exam. The exam papers can be answered well if they study hard. 7 CGPA is a good score at amrita university. For every 1.5 months mid exams are conducted.

Microsoft, Deloitte cisco, and Bosch companies provide internships here. The companies will conduct tests and select the students based on their marks. After the students are selected in the test, interview rounds will be conducted to select them for internships. If the students are selected a stipend will be provided. Projects will be given to internship students and seniors to help the juniors.

The placements are very good here. The placements percentage is 95% here. The average salary package is 10.5 LPA. Google, Microsoft and cisco are big companies that visit the campus every year and provide high packages. The highest package is 53 LPA. Last year nearly 1300 students are placed out of 1600 members. Nearly 650 companies visit every year. Companies visit 2 times, in the 7th semester and end of the year. From the 7th semester, the campus placements start and companies visit in the 4th year. Students who have a 7 CGPA get good campus placements as the exam papers are difficult. The students will get more companies to apply and the students who have 6.5 CGPA also get good placements if they try well. After my degree, I would like to go for the job by seeking a job in campus placements. The campus placements are very good compared to other universities.

The fee structure is quite high. According to the ranks of the students, the fee structures and scholarships are allocated here. For the first set of merit students the fee will be less and so on based on their merits and ranks. Our batch college fee is 350000 LPA for CSE. The fee is high for the CSE branch and fees will be different for other branches.

Every year the campus will conduct a fest called Anokha. It is a tech fest and one of India's largest fest. A cash prize of 5 lakhs is given to the winner in coding competitions. Many workshops are conducted in the fest. Generally every year in the month of March this fest will be conducted. The campus has a huge library and it has speed wifi. Library has many books and more books are added every week and students are notified about this through the mail. The library every day opens at 8 pm and closes at 10 pm and has many rooms to study and has a large space. Classrooms have projectors and boards. The classes also have speed wifi. The benches in the classroom have a power supply for the charging of laptops. The facilities are good. The campus has many football and shuttle courts to play and cricket grounds. Students have dance and singing clubs on campus such as Ragasudha and Natyasudha. The infrastructure is very good. The availability of sports courts is more and college conducts matches.

Students should stay in hostels and the rooms are good enough but not great with facilities. Rooms don't have AC. The weather is usually cool so the AC is not needed. The rooms are just good but not very good. The students can be comfortable if they get used to rooms every day, and the weather condition is good. Two fans and two lights and shelves are provided. Four students in each room and enough to space live. The food on this campus is pure veg and non-veg is prohibited. The mess quality is not much good here, the students from Tamil Nadu will like the food but other state students should adjust, other state students can adjust not too much bad. The students should adjust for food. Some days the food will be served well on occasion days. Hostel Joining Registration forms will be given to the students in their respective hostels or forms will be provided in online and students should bring them while joining.

The admission process for amrita college is to write an exam which is called AEEE exam. First students has to fill the application form in the amrita university site. After filling out the form, the students are given credentials after filling form. The university will provide a site for the students to write AEEE exam. Students can write exam from their portal if they write in online. If students wants to write exam offline they will be provided centre. After writing AEEE exam , results will be provided in same portal after some days. After the results are published, the students can apply for counselling for their desired branches in B.Tech according to their rank. The branches are allocated according to their merit in exam and based on their ranks. Students can also apply using JEE main percentiles and get admission.After counselling results if students think they have not got good branch according to their rank, they can again apply to counselling.
