Remarks

I absolutely love the college I'm studying in. Muffakham Jah college of engineering and technology is perhaps the best college I could have asked for to complete my engineering. As for the management, it is extremely concerned about its students and ensures that every issue, no matter how minuscule, is addressed and properly taken care of.

Entrance Preview

I wrote EAMCET in the year after completing my 2nd year of intermediate education and secured 25,000 rank in the general category. I've always been mesmerized by structures and buildings since my childhood and had absolutely no doubts when I chose Civil Engineering to be my area of specialization in engineering. As for why the college Muffakham Jah, the institution has been a premier one for over three decades now, with it's ranking being in the top 5 private engineering colleges in Telangana. Also, what this college offers is wholesome growth of one's personality, in addition to the technical knowledge the courses provide.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Having always been interested in the study of structural engineering, I knew that the degree of B.E (Civil engineering) would be the perfect place to start for my further research on structures. Thus, there was never really any doubt in my mind when it came down to selecting my course since I could already see it getting perfectly well with my preferred field of study.

Internships Opportunities

My college has always been very supportive when it comes to a student asking for permission to intern at a company, yes. The general stipend for students generally ranges from 5,000-10,000 a month.

Placement Experience

4

Companies like Amazon, Infosys, Mahindra, etc. are seen recruiting students in huge numbers from our campus every year. As far as I've heard, the number goes upto 11 lakhs per annum in some cases. The basic packages offered are usually in excess of 3 lakhs pa.

College Events

4.5

1) Adsophos: Perhaps the most famous annual technical festival of the city of Hyderbad, Adsophos is the annual college festival of MJCET where students belonging to colleges from all across the city take part. Engineering models are set up with students explaining their take on the same. 2) Oratoria: An ode to literature, this annual event is dedicated solely towards literature and competitions on original prose, poetry, debates, etc. are seen. 3) The MJMUN: The college now has it's own annual Model United Nations conference, where students represent countries and debate on world issues.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to a majority of other colleges in the city, the fee structure is a little expensive. Rs.85,000/- per annum to be precise. Although given the infrastructural standards and the quality of education imparted to its students, the fee does seem to be justified.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes! The students belonging to minority sectors and classes can avail a fee waiver if their family's annual income is less than 1 lakh per annum. This can be done by verifying their documents proving the same.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender-ratio is extremely decent with the number of male students on par with the female ones. As for tolerance towards genders and religions and economic statutes and the like, the environment that my college offers is very open-minded with every student getting equal opportunity irrespective of their caste, color, etc. A very relaxed atmosphere, with every culture working in harmony with the other.

Hostel Facilities

4

Since my college is in the heart of the city, there is no need for it to provide it's students hostel facility and thus there isn't any facility for the same. As for the food, the college has two fully functional canteens, one vegetarian and the other non-vegetarian to ensure that the needs of all audiences are catered to.

Alumni/Alumna

YesThe college has its alumni association which keeps doing meets on a regular basis. Sessions are organised with the students so as to educate them about the life post college and the challenges that await after engineering. All these talks are extremely helpful and prepare us for what is going to come next.

Exam Structure

Since engineering is a very serious course, we have to keep ourselves updated with our subjects from time to time. In a six-month semester, we have two internal exams every two months and the final external exams(theory+lab) take place at the end of semester.

Admission

After securing my rank in EAMCET, the dates for web counseling were released wherein we needed to specify our preferred choice of colleges and the courses we wished to pursue. Post this, certificate verification took place and once everything was verified, we were allotted seats in colleges based on our ranks.

Faculty

4.5

The college takes pride in it's faculty, having more than 75 P.hDs in it's ranks. Moreover, the results that the college has to offer every academic year itself spoke volumes of how good the faculty members of the institution are with their subjects.
