Course Curriculum Overview
Computer engineering has been the best course in terms of placements. It also depends on the interests of the students, faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Faculties are highly qualified but are worthless as you have to study on your own. Term exams are a bit difficult so regularly completing work is necessary.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are not provided on campus. You have to find them on your own. Projects are needed to be created in Sem 8 and are an important factor during internships and placements. You should not rely on the college would be my suggestion.
Placement Experience
Placements are average but mostly all are placed with an average of 5 LPA. Companies like Wipro, TCS, and Infosys visit the college. The highest package depends on your capability towards hard work. We can say that 90% of students are placed in the computer engineering department. The plans of students are mainly to apply for a master's or get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are the best part of VGEC it is 1500 for male candidates and FREE for female candidates, Hostel charges apply to both. Various scholarships like MYSY and digital Gujarat can be applied. No stipend is provided on campus.
Campus Life
Regular events and Techfest are carried out which are very helpful. Books and journals are available in the library and we can issue them for free. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. Vishwa Cup is organized every year for sports activities. Various groups like IEEE, GSDC, and many more.
Admission
The admission process is quite simple, it is carried out with merit acpc rank. The rank is calculated as 50% of board marks [PCM Marks] + 50% of GUJCET Marks. Other than this 5% of seats are filled through ALL INDIA QUOTA. All the admission details are carried out by the ACPC committee, so you need to register yourself at acpc. The application fee is quite nominal. If you belong to ST, SC, SEBC, or EWS then you are going to have a certain benefit over the regular students. The cutoff goes certainly high for the CE (COMPUTER ENGINEERING) and IT (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY). According to me, the admission process can be improved by increasing the seats of ALL INDIA QUOTA. So, the students with good ranks in JEE MAINS can take admission.
