College management was good overall , College building is quite old .

I took UP State Entrance Examination and scored 850 All India Ranking. This is the best College among UP Govt. engineering colleges and Chemical engineering is the oldest and most famous branch of this college.

Chemical Engineer is a good branch with wide scope ,the curriculum taught in the college was good , it contend most of the topics related to chemical engineering . Exposure to Simulation software was very less , Industrial exposure was limited to 3 month industrial training only . Continual reading of topics and relation of topics to practical world would have been much better

Stipend was nil. Over all experience was good .

At my time I got to sit in Three campus interview and cracked two of them . Placement was good , most of the students have two job opportunities . Almost all students were placed . After 1st round of Designing companies , 2nd round was of soft ware companies and then come industries for campus

There were technical and cultural festivals through out the year , Computer science , Mechanical engineering , Chemical engineering Departments used to conduct there Technical/ Cultural festival annually and there is an annual culture festival "Antaragni " which was conducted in February -March .

Fee Structure was very much feasible , college is subsidized by UP Govt. there fore fees was not very much . Fees for each semester has to be submitted at the onset of each semester . Fees for Hostel and mess was also minimal. Loans from all nationalize banks were available .

There used to be scholar ship for financial week students , 100% fees used to be subsidized for such students

Campus life was good, There used to 30% reservation for girls therefore gender ratio too was quite good. Campus life is same as it used be in most of the engineering college , There used to be many extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc , which go on through out the year , there used to be annual sports meet too. Clubs were formed to organised and manage events related to sports, literary, cultural etc.

Hostel facility were quite good , Specially considering the minimal fees charged for hostels. Rooms were airy and fully ventilated , the hostels are situated in campus with Lot of trees and green around . Mess is operated on co operative basis , every month one student is elected as mess secretary to take care of mess menu , ration , worker payment etc. All the expenses were distributed among all the occupant of the hostel

This is one of the best thing about this college , there is a wide network of alumni and any student can approach anybody . Most of the alumni were much humble to respond to there fellow harcourtian. There is a reputation of the college in Industries because of this alumni base.

There used to be Semester Examination at the end of semester and Three tests per semester , the marks of best of two were to be included in Internal marks. Labs were not good , although there were laboratories set up for most of the chemical engineering processes still lab practicals were not being conducted properly because of lack of material or qualified lab technician. Over all schedule was not hectic

After scoring rank in UPSEE , there was on line counselling for branches . There After branches were allotted on the basis of seat availability in particular branch and ranking of individual . After that , all the aspirants were called to college campus for final admission formalities

Most of the faculty at my time was old , strict but wonder full teachers , Faculty at Chemical Engineering department was committed , disciplined and brilliant , Professors were PhD from IITs and other renowned foreign universities . The class rooms were not in very good condition and way of teaching was old one with black board . Still it was good enough
