Faculty, college ambiance and ragging free community
Each and every month some fests were organised to gather and socialize with each other
The food in the canteen was awesome and delicious

Dislikes

They do not provide hostel facilities for the boys
They do not provide bus facilities for students
The college timings are very odd , it's from 6 am in the morning till 11 am

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because studying finance was my hobby. And this college has really good faculty who can help you with financial sums, accountancy and economics as well. The faculty uses smart and practical techniques to teach the students. So term exams are taken every month till the date of final exams.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Wipro, PWC, Cognigent comes up to the students with internship offers, for jobs like data entry, marketing, advertising, etc. They ma provide a salary upto 10-15k a month. I got an internship offer from Wipro for a 1year and I earned 1.2lacs a year.

Placement Experience

So this college offers you great placements like a job in Amazon or Nestle, Wipro, Cognizant, and many such multinational companies. An average student can get a job with an average salary package of 10 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the college charges you 35k for every semester but it provides you with every basic facility like the Library, computer lab, etc. For now, no scholarship schemes are available but in the future, there may be.

Campus Life

Heritage College is a great place to get socialized and refresh your mind because it has got 2 fields for football 1 field for cricket and a basketball court, a table tennis court, and a big swimming pool and lastly, it has got a functional gym as well.

Admission

So after my 12th results, I searched for colleges according to my grades on the Calcutta University website and I came across this college, so the minimum grade requires to pursue B.COM(HONS) in this college is 70 percent in your 12 standards. I found the admission link on their official website and their fee structure is 35k every 6 months, the whole admission process is very organized.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

i got a confirmed in all colleges of kolkata like bethune, loreto, brabourne, etc. i didnt get into xaviers. Xaviers was my first choice but since i didnt get into it i was happy with THC or bethune. my admission for bethune came a while later, when i was already comfortable with heritage. plus the campus vibes, faculty and friends played an important role into choosing this collge. i didnt get into xaviers because i didnt have score high enough to secure the index marks. the admission process of my college is very easy, they accept 10+2 level examinations and you are eligible to fill up the form if you have secured 60%, but the admission desk is very very polite and helpful. overall the entire experience was incredibly smooth....Read More
