My engineering experience with G L BAJAJ

There is one thing that I don't like about my college is that they force us to come to college in uniform. Although I know it's necessary to create harmonious environment. But still it should not be imposed on us. They should allow us to come to college in formal attire. The good thing about my college is that they really care about students and their individual growth. Their focus is on every individual.

UPSEE- I had secured almost 10000 rank in state. This was college was growing so fast and that made me to choose it and I was right to choose this college.

Course structure was very well designed. In first year all subjects are common to all the department of engineering so different departments were mixed in sections. After first year everyone were listed in batches in their respective departments. In my department faculties were experienced and their teaching strategy was very attractive. I enjoyed studying in my college throughput the course. Also labs are there where we can relate our theoretical knowledge

Yes it does.many institutes do collaboration with my college and they offer various training program as well as internship. Companies like Techno fast, Cadd center and some other designing institutes visited and they were offering from 10000- 20000 INR depending upon the course and it's duration.

From last several years, G L Bajaj is provided very good opportunities to students. Many students have been placed in MNCs like Oerlikon, TCS, IBM, Zucus and many more also some best companies of India. And packages offered were in range of 3 to 6 lakhs per annum.

We do celebrate a number of festivals. One of them was Sankalp. In Sankalp event students form other colleges also participated. It was full of fun and includes varieties of games like table tennis, volleyball, badminton, basketball,. Singing competition, chess and many more games. There were many competitions like poster making competition in which I had participated in group and had won 2nd prize. Also we got opportunity to participate in hybrid vehicle challenge where I cleared virtual round but due to high budget, we couldn't go further. We also got opportunity to participate in SAE challenges like BAJA and some other high speed vehicle challenges. Over all it was outstanding experience.

Fee is quite expensive as compared with other colleges offering the same courses. In first year I paid INR 133000/- for b.tech. and in other colleges it is about 1.1 lakh INR. from second year I used to pay INR 113000/- and in final year I paid 115000/- INR. Amount varies as compared to other colleges due to the facilities that my college provides.

Those who secure good position in university exam are rewarded with big amount of cash or their fee for one year gets waived. Also if you're getting admitted through any lower category, fee is almost waived from the state government. And yes every year state government provides scholarship for lower category students.

Gender ration is balanced in Information technology or computer science department. But in department like mechanical engineering, gender ratio is not good and it's obvious. We have very well designed cafeteria where students can do party as well as can play pool, table tennis. Also we're very strict towards ragging in campus as well as for any sexual abuse. We have students from all over them world so they are very open minded and never raised any intolerance during my course.

I didn't stay in college hostel but my friends were there so sometimes I used to visit them. So rooms are in good condition and also power back up is good. Also they provide WiFi for the hostlers for 24 hours. If one wants to stay outside of campus they can either go for rent or for paying guests. So if you're staying on rent, stay in group cause rent is quite high almost 8 to 10 k for 2 BHK and 4 to 6 for 1 BHK. and paying guests are available from 5000 to 7000 INR.

One negative point of preventing ragging is the students do not interact with seniors so they rarely get to know about each other. Some of them make good relations with seniors during various activities so from their they get support otherwise seniors are unsupported due to lack of interaction. Though I know some of my juniors and have helped them at my best.

Exams were frequent but very well structured so that a student can track his performance and can improve himself. I personally enjoyed all the exams scheduled for us. Talking about labs, so based on our subjects, labs were scheduled batches wise. In first year we had common labs but from second year we used to go to our separate labs. Labs schedule were quite hectic but later on I realized that it is necessary to under the theories that I have studied in classroom.

I went through counseling on the basis of my score. I had opted 3 colleges but I got this one. After that I had been given a letter in which details were there like when to report with how much fee and all details. I went to college and submitted the fee. Then we had given the date for starting our class.

They all were experienced and also well qualified having great knowledge of subjects. They were supportive and also friendly. Their strategy of planning our lecture is great. Also they have good command over the subjects. They can handle challenges very well and their supportive nature makes me approach them for any problem I do face related to my career.
