- Environment of all campuses ( Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Tripura, Bhopal).
- Faculties are very helpful towards each and every student.
- Placements is somehow nice. They connect with MNCs for better placement of their students.
Dislikes
- The timing criteria of the classes is not so good. They conduct classes for 6-7 hours due to which student doesn't have time for self study.
- Sometimes teachers create pressure on the students regarding their studies etc.
- I also dislike the passing marks criteria. The Passing marks criteria is 50% if you'll not get 50% marks in any exams it means you are fail.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because i am very curious about investigation and crime scene type things. And i eagerly want to visit at the real crime scene and investigate the scene and also want to identify the various types of evidences. Faculty of the Institute is quite nice they are very helpful and they all have enough knowledge of classroom teaching as well as practical knowledge. And the behaviour of the faculty towards students are also very nice. Most of the faculty members are Phd holders and rest of them are pursuing their Phd degree. University conducts three types of exam i.e term assessment, Mid semester, and end semester. The term assessment-1 are generally M.C.Qs based and term assessment-2 are based on assignment and ppts kind of things. And total marks of TAs is 25 for each. And mid-sem is of 50 marks and end-sem is of 100 marks. The level of difficulty is moderate not too difficult or not too easy.
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft, Deloitte, Bhumi, KPMG provides internship with stipend. And college also sent their students for training/internship in FSL, CFSL, CBI and any other government agencies but in government agencies some agencies give stipend but most of the agencies do not provide stipend.
Placement Experience
In 2nd last semester students are eligible for the campus placements. Microsoft, bajaj allianz, bhumi, KPMG, Deloitte etc. have visited and they generally selected 30-40 students from every batch out of 50-60 students. And the avg packages is around 40-50lac per annum. Out of 100 there is 90% chances of getting placements. I also want better placement with handsome package.
Fees and Financial Aid
Paying fees of the college is semester-wise. For first semester fees is 65,000 including examination fees and other fees. University provides merit-cum-mean scholarship for 5 toppers of the merit list. And other than this NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL provides scholarship according to their state or other criteria.
Campus Life
University conducts a fest named Mukhtasar. Generally organized after a new academic session. And there are many other fests which are organized by university. And the university has its own independent library in which every book and journal is available. If in any case, any book is not available just tell them they'll provide you in a few weeks. Classrooms are well furnished and fully AC. All classrooms are smart classrooms. The university also organizes sports and extra circular activities. And the students of the university have various clubs, like sports club, music club, dance club, management club, etc.
Admission
•Bachelor’s degree in Science / Forensic Science/ Life Science/Biotechnology/Biomedical with at least 55%-50% according to the category. •Application form in available online at www.nfsu.ac.in and the fees is ?1000/course, date of application form is in between April to June. •Reservation benefits are always there. •Everything is perfectly fine in admission process, time taken in admission process, fees, etc. But there is delay in merit list. They take time to announced the selected candidates.
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Forensic science)
Delhi university doesn't have separate brach or department for Forensic science. And they don't provide practical knowledge and theri classroom teaching is not so good. They also don't focus on the research work. And there is no placements facilities.
