Course Curriculum Overview
My faculty members are top class faculties with at least 4 years of experience in the course that they teach. I chose CSE as my course because I was interested in learning programming languages in depth to achieve my dream of being a cybersecurity audit engineer. The professors give hands-on experience on different subjects by conducting labs and using ppt for a better understanding of the course.
Internships Opportunities
I have not availed of any internships from my college. I had availed internships off campus. Projects done by me were part of semester projects. I have done projects during my 5th, and 6th semesters as minor projects and the 7th and 8th semesters as part of my major project.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for internships in their 5th semester. This helps them to further get PPO. Placement season starts in the 7th semester. There have been many companies that have visited our college like- Deloitte, LTI, L&T, Mahindra, Samsung, HDFC Bank, TCS, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Castle, Intuit, Tekion, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Recently, the fees have increased for both college admission and hostel fees. Also, the mess fees are a lot for the food that is served. I availed scholarship through National Scholarship Portal for Merit Students ST.
Campus Life
There are numerous fests held all around the year. The annual cultural fest is Saptrang and the annual Techno-Cultural fest is Sentience. There are only course-related books available in the library along with newspapers. AC and Smart class is provided in all the classrooms. Sports is the best in NIT Delhi. 3 sports fests are in college- YUJ, ZEAL, and FUTSAL. Various clubs are- Cultural, SRC, Google Developers, IEEE, Sports, Arts, etc.
Hostel Facilities
4 members in each room. 2 toilets and 2 washrooms are attached and shared by 2 adjacent rooms. One can avail of AC or Non-AC rooms. Mess quality is not good as par to the fees i.e. 3900. I rented a flat 30 mins away from college.
Admission
I had given the JEE Mains exam, in 2019. My batch was the first to give the examination with the percentile system. To get admission to NIT Delhi, one needs to score at least 90% on the JEE Mains exam if the General/OBC category, and at least 80% if ST/SC category.
