Dislikes
- The thing that almost everyone dislikes about this college is it's attendance criteria

- Course curriculum is also quite hectic in NSUT, there are exams and tests happening every other week 🥲
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose ECE as I have a keen interest in this domain and the electronics industry is at its boom. The course curriculum is rigorous you have to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance or else you will get detained from giving the exam. There is a 1:20 faculty-to-student ratio, they can be attentive sometimes and not so attentive sometimes depending on teacher-to-teacher. They are well qualified and have a good knowledge of the subject they are teaching. There are always exams happening in NSUT. Tests, assignments, mid-sem exams, end-sem exams and practicals happen every semester. The level of the exam is moderate to difficult.
Internships Opportunities
You can apply for on-campus internship opportunities after 4th semester. There are many companies visiting this college for internships. Goldman Sachs gives a 1 lakh/month stipend to students for software domain jobs, Snapdragon gives 50 thousand/month to students for electronics-related jobs and various other companies give good stipends to students for software as well as electronics-related fields.
Placement Experience
After 6th sem, you are eligible for on-campus placements and after the 4th sem, you are eligible for on campus internship. Various big companies like apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc visits our college and 182 offers were given to 152 students in the ECE department. The highest package this year was given by Amazon Germany which was 1,06,00,000 and the average salary for the ECE department was 18 lakh and almost all the students were placed. My plan is also the same like every student to get placed in a reputed MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of NSUT is increasing every year. The students who have taken admitted in my year will have to give a fee of 8,94,500 for the entire degree. There are many scholarships and financial assistance opportunities as it is a government undertaken college. I have applied for a merit cum means scholarship in 2nd category where you will give a 50% tuition fee refund.
Campus Life
Life on the campus is good, there are always some activities going around. There are countless societies which you can join. The annual fest of NSUT is moksha which happens in the month of March and it is one of the biggest fests in North India with a footfall of around 70-80 thousand people. The technical fest is an innovation which also happens in the month of March where many hackathons and other technical activities are organised.
Admission
Admission to NSUT is done through JEE mains exam and after that, you get admission according to the minimum cutoff required for admission in the respective branch. You can fill out the form for JEE through the NTA exam brochure and the application fee for general category students is 1000 rupees.
