Best way to learn from home !

My college will fulfill my requirement of getting the necessary credits for my CPA course thus making me eligible to take the CPA exam. This is the best way to collect maximum credits as they provide you with a diploma after the first year itself.

The primary objective to enroll myself in the distance learning program me was to obtain a masters degree while continuing my job in a MNC. I am also pursuing other courses which leaves me with no time for a full fledged regular course. IGNOU provides a variety of courses from a different fields of study thus giving you multiple options to chose from and provide the right direction to your course.

I was pretty impressed with the structure of the course considering my course focuses on international business trends and practices. I feel it provides the right exposure and experience a working professional from commerce background requires. It has the right mix of marketing, finance and procedural subjects which provide in depth knowledge of the dynamic international business environment.

IGNOU being an open university, students prefer to get placed privately. Despite of this fact, the university has a placement cell and offers placement services to students who wish to avail. The packages offered vary from course to course. However, I observed that this Campus Placement Drive generally invite the applications from graduation degree holders not the masters holders. And, the companies which visit there are limited. So, you don't get much choice. However, the degrees are valid and employers accept the degree. But, you need to validate your competency.

The university charges a fees of Rs. 11,000/- for full program me to be paid year wise @ Rs. 5,500/- per year. The fee is pretty cheap considering the exorbitantly high fees charged by private colleges. IGNOU offers a valuable degree through distance learning program me at an affordable fee payable in annual installments.

Not aware of scholarship facility. Anyway the fee is pretty less compared to other colleges. No loan required

As stated above, IGNOU is an open university for students wishing to opt for long distance programmes. No need to be present at the campus every day. You only need to travel to the allotted exam centers on the day of exams. This clarifies that there is no extracurricular or sports facilities either

No hostel facility as it is an open university mainly for working professionals. Students study and prepare through the comfort of their homes without having to physically travel everyday to the university. Weekend classes are held for students who want to avail this benefit. Canteen offers hygienic food.

The question is not applicable as there is hardly any interaction with seniors or alumni in a distance learning program me.

The admission process was quite simple. I logged onto the official ignou website and created my account. After providing scanned copies of the required documents my admission was approved on a provisional basis. I got my final acceptance confirmation within 20 days pf submitting the form and required documents.
