Review of Jabalpur Engineering College

As we all know that this is the first engineering college of M.P. and the 2nd engineering college of India. The buildings of the college are very old but very strong. The college has high voltage labs, boilers, lathe machines, etc. This is the 5th best college of M.P. The college organises annual events which consists of cultural activities like dance, music, technical activities, sports events, science exhibitions, etc.

to admission in JEC jabalpur we have to qualify the IIT JEE (Main) with good rank. i scored 118 in JEE Main and 86% in MP Board. After all i selected in this college. i have chosen Mechanical stream in JEC. This is the oldest Engineering College of MP.

No there is no scope for any internship. Even College did not provide any Vocational training. We have to manage our training ourselves. College gives a form of VT in which we have to fill industry or company name, and give it to Company for reference of College.

The placement of JEC is very good for computer science, MCA, information technology, and electronics. But placement for other branches is low. Last year college got 100 percent placement achievement. Companies like MueSigma, TCS, Wipro, and many more visit the college for placement.

The college organises annual events which consists of cultural activities like dance, music, technical activities, sports events, science exhibitions, etc. Every year it organised Techno-cultural event known as Aureole. It is very huge event. From Various colleges students are come and participated. Every Year Sport Function is organised and increase the games activity. Last year JEC cricket won the Finale in IIT DELHI aand IIT Bombay

In Madhyapradesh this is the very cheapest college of engineering. the fees of 1 year is only 23-25 thousands rupees. and the Hostel fees 2000(avg) {varry with year}. there is feasible fee structure which can easily affordable. here Govt. gives scholarship to low financial, Talented students.

Yes scholarship availlable fo General student (income below 75000). and the OBC also. but for the ST,SC student there is income limit is 2.5 lacs. It is Govt. scholarship. student can also fill Medhavi Scholarship by govt. if he got good marks in board exam.

The college infrastructure is very old. The college has smart labs and Wi-Fi in the college campus. The library contains every type of book related to engineering and science. The college has basketball, badminton facilities, volleyball court, football, a cricket ground, and a garden. CCTV cameras are installed in every classroom and all the departments have a seperate building. Gender ratio in college 1:3. in extra college is good. it helps students to increase their interest on which field.

As i say hostel fees is 2000 avg. in first year the hostel fees is 2500 /- and in second year 1700/- according to the fees the facility of hostels is less. some hostels are so much good which are renovated recently. college have 11 hostels. there is not necessary to live in hostel if you can afford you can live in PG or flat. if we talk about the mess of hostel it is private mess. there is no involvement of college in mess.

The Alumni network of College is very huge Network. Every Year college organised 2 alumni meet. one in small level but second is very high level. it is named MILAN. in Milan Alumni come to the college and enjoyed like when they were in college.

Since the college is autonomous, so the college itself makes the syllabus. and convoy the exam itself. Even it makes question paper itself. It is not depended to University (RGPV). there is 3 tests in 1 semester, first is Mid Semester test-1 , 2nd Mid semester Test-2 and 3rd is End Semester test. Each Subject has 70 marks in EST.

First of all i have given IIT JEE 2015 after result of IIT JEE the counselling of DTE is filled. then in counselling i filled JEC Jabalpur in first preference. Before Choice filling we have to verify our all document in nearest Verification center, then After Counselling result i got this College. then i had to come here with certified document and Choice filling etc. In college's auditorium Admission process was held, there was many 2nd year and 3rd year students are presented for helping new admitted student. in this college admission process is very easy as compared to others.

In core branches like electrical, mechanical, civil, etc. most of the permanent faculty members take the classes.They take regular classes and do not miss their lectures. But in other branches like CS, IT, etc. mostly the permanent faculty members send the guest faculty members to take classes. The guest faculty members don't do anything tech anything. We can say that the ratio of student to faculty is 19:1. Since the college is autonomous, so the college itself makes the syllabus. The syllabus is useful for the students.
