Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I wanted to become a doctor. The college faculty are very good teachers and the student-to-teacher ratio varies according to the subject. The faculty are all MBBS, and MD doctors and are very qualified and knowledgeable doctors. The term exams are challenging and at least not very easy to pass, especially the final professional exams.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is of one year and includes working in the hospital for a year to learn how to manage various types of patients. The stipend is 26,500 per month. The intern is posted in different departments at different times of the year so that one learns to manage all kinds of patients.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are minimal (around 7k per academic year) as it is a government medical College. The stipend an intern gets is 26,500 per month. And after the internship, one can become a junior resident in one department and earn 90000 per month. Or a person can choose to study more and give a neet-pg exam and get enrolled in a post-graduation course, which is for 3 years and a stipend is 90000 per month.
Campus Life
The annual fest is named - RIPPLE and is held in march or April of each year. The Library is fairly big and contains all the useful books for the course. The classrooms are big and equipped with projectors, mics, and speakers sp that children at the back can listen properly. There are various active sports societies like cricket, volleyball, football, kabaddi, and badminton. There are extracurricular societies for dramatics, Western dance, fashion society, etc.
Admission
Any person who had biology in class 12 is eligible for NEET. NEET is the qualification exam for admission to MBBS and is highly competitive. The cutoff for Delhi government colleges in recent years has been 650+ marks out of 720 in NEET. The counseling process was easy and the college staff helped a lot.
