Remarks

The college needs to work on its faculty and study curriculum. Other than that the college offers you everything for your overall development

Entrance Preview

MBA CET and CAT. Got a score of 122. I wanted to do an MBA but I wanted to indulge in other extracurricular like theater, which is pretty famous for this college. That's the reason I opted for it. Moreover, the placements were good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is not that great. It okish. I mean it could be better being an MBA college, I believe it should be more challenging which it wasn't. I secured the 1st position for 3 semesters with an average of 78% marks. I don't think that's tough. It should be more challenging. Research is not an integral part of the curriculum but as a learner, I did a lot of research.

Internships Opportunities

They do. But it's better you find your own internship. There were a few companies that used to come during internship time but they were not that great and average stipend they used to provide was around 3000 t0 4000 rs

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good because the companies that come are good. However, the average package offered is less. Moreover, you need to work a lot on your preparation because the competition is fierce. The placement is centralized and there are a total of 11 Sinhgad colleges and all students are competing for placements. Also, you need to make sure, if you get shortlisted or selected, you need to keep a constant follow up with the placement office because they can miss out on your offer. Happened to me and I was selected for Ranbaxy.

College Events

5

Cultural events - Sinhgad Karandak Timely cultural week Environmental Week Guest Lectures Management competitions There are a whole bunch of management events that happen during the year which helps you develop your skills in all areas. Moreover, there is a business plan competiton that happens, that is really helpful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is good. Not that expensive and can be paid in installments. So, its very helpful for people who cant afford to pay the fee all at once. There are all sorts of concessions for the castes and girl students which helps too. So, overall it is not a money-making college but decent in terms of fee

Fees and Financial Aid

There are loan facilities but I'm not aware of it. I'm pretty sure the college doesn't give a scholarship.

Campus Life

3

The extracurricular is great. I was in Theater which is amazing. There is an active sports wing as well and the college has a dedicated TT room and a cricket ground and football ground which is fuctional and people use it on daily basis. The teachers do consider your case if you are representing the college in extracurricular but you will have to complete the assignments.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facility is ok but the mess food is too bad. One can survive with the canteen food as there are 3 canteens in the campus. The mess food is only recommended when you are short on cash. The hostel is strict about the in time but they do allow you if you ask nicely.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni network and senior students are helpful and few of them helped me with my placement and during the college time as well. So, I'd say the atmosphere is pretty chill. No ragging as such just a little bit of questioning that's it.

Exam Structure

There are 2 units every semester and the finals for the semester. The units help you practice pretty much for the finals. The timely test held for Accounts and stats generally and they are not that stringent. The good part about these tests is that the papers are later evaluated in front of you for your writing style. And how to make it better. This helped me a lot to improve my examination writing style. Knowing the right answer doesn't always help, it matters a lot how you present it.

Admission

After I got shortlisted in the second round, I filled in an online form and I was informed about the date of admission and induction in an email. I reached the college a day before and they helped us with the accommodation for that night. Filled the form in the office, submitted it along with the fee and then took the admission for the hostel. Everything was pretty smooth and the administration was very helpful. I was given a date for induction after the admission process.

Faculty

3

The faculty is not good. There was just one professor who used to teach marketing and he was pretty good. But all the others were really lame. The college needs a better faculty. Especially when you are not from an accounts background and you are trying it for the first time you need someone who can teach well. Same stands for stats. These are important subjects and it needs serious attention.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.
