Knowledge wise very good institution

For education, college will provide everything from A to Z. But it lacks some where in extra curricular and food quality. It is also disappointing something that college wont release funds immediately for cultural events. But for Knowledge you can get whatever you want. So, If you good and quality education you can join here with some moderate extra curricular activities.

I got into this college via Tamil Nadu Engineering admissions conducted every year by anna university. It is based on the HSE marks. I scored 939 in HSE. We can also get admission by separate entrance conducted by college and AIEEE also. I have secured some what mid level marks in HSE, so i got into this college. There is no particular reason other than that.

the curriculum that we are having in the anna university was moderate, neither tough nor easy. it will covers every part of electrical and electronics engineering. while finishing the curriculum we feel that yes we have an idea about everything about electrical engineering. it was well focused on theory part but on the other side of practical things it was bit low. because we dont have that much practical things.

Yep, my college provided me a internship oppurtunity in CYIENT, Bangalore. I had been there for 45days paid internship. Our college Placement officer has too many connections with the people in the industry. In general i got a stipend of Rs. 7500 for 45 days. It was a electrical design company they were doing projects in ALSTOM and HONEYWELL. It was good experience we get to know that how a corporate is and how its functioning.

Regarding the placements, For every year final year students will get oppurtunities in sotware companies like HCL, VERIZON, CSS CORP, TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, but most likely all are off campus drive only. Average package was around 2.4LPA. They also provide placements in some mid level companies in core industry.

Cultural festival YASHAS will be conducted every year on August to September. Before that cultural fest sports meet is conducted for 15-20 days. During that time there will be no classes. Food also provided by college only. After that sports meet, they will provide certificates to the people who are all the winners. For that cultural fest, big celebrities like actors, singers,etc,.. will participate as guest.

Fee structure is feasible only. It costs around Rs.150000 per year. For education Rs.75000 and then for hostel, Rs.75000. We will pay it in installments also, In our college for SC and ST students education is free only. In that fees also our government will provide Rs. 20000 assist for the first graduate in a family and also community welfare board also provide educational scholarship of around 10k. So, in overall fee structure is feasible only.

So many scholarships are available for engineering students, 1. For a first graduate in a family government will provide Rs.20000 per year. 2. From community welfare board they will provide around 10k to 12k per year. 3. From some PSU's like IOC, BHEL also providing scholarships for merit students. I have availed first two in the list.

Gender ratio is approximately 3:1. for 3 male 1 female is there. In our college students from north east, andhra, north indian states like bihar, west bengal also studying. Symposiums also conduted as educational fairs, debates for each and every year for National leaders birth anniversaries. Laboratories also there, it was in good fashion and orderly arranged. All labs are in national standards and good amount of equipments are available.

Hostel facilities were moderate and some what okay only. we cant expect big in this arena. For each room 3 persons will be allotted and 3 cots, 3 beds, 3 shelfs, 3 lights, 3 tables for writing and studying will be there. It is more spacious for 3 persons . Food will be not that much tasty and variety... but its normal only. But it is mandatory to eat in mess for all hostel students.

Every year on september alumni meet is there. But that meet is not upto the mark. College wont support that much.

Exams will be conducted on yearly twice, it is termed as semester exam. Exam is for 100 marks, we have to score around 50 marks to pass the exam. If we fail in that exam we have write that subject again by reappearing in that exam. Laboratory exams were so much easy. It is also for 100 marks. But every mark is converted into grade and then published in marks sheet.

Every year anna university will conduct admission for all affilated colleges, around 60 to 70 percent of seats were filled by anna university owned by government of tamil nadu. I applied for TNEA, it costs me around Rs.500. Then counselling date and other things will be sent to me via post. couselling date will be based on the marks secured by students. In counselling we have to select college whatever the college is available and then we have to deposit an amount of Rs.5000 in the name of anna university which will be later transfered to the college which we will join. After selecting the college in counselling we have to report in that particular college, from there our admission process starts. In college we have to submit certificates, allotment order from anna university and by paying fees, we will join in that college.

Most of our college professors were Ph.D scholars, so it is not going to be a doubt that whether the faculty is knowledgeable or not. they are all worked previously in premier institutions and widely having industry experience. they will teache every thing in practical manner, so it will be more interesting to hear and feel. Most of our faculty will encourage the students to do more practical projects and advise us to get into a correct career path.
