Course Curriculum Overview
This is among the tier-2 colleges of the country with the best faculties who had done their post-doctoral degrees from IITs(tier 1 ) colleges of India. The faculty-student ratio is quite good as the strength of students in class is 115 and the total number of faculties is around 20. Teachers here use the best methods for teaching with smart boards in classrooms and practical demonstrations in laboratories.
Placement Experience
Candidates can appear for college placements from the 6th semester onwards. In the previous year, i.e. 2022, a total of 197 companies visited our college including PSUs like BPCL, IOCL, consulting firms like Fractal and tech giants Adobe and Amazon. Adobe offers a package of 55Lakh CTC whereas Amazon offers a package of 46Lakh CTC. Core companies like BPCL offer around 22Lakhs CTC.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure here is on the basis of the income slabs. For students with an annual family income of less than 1 lakh rupees, the fees are nominal, which is around 10000 Rupees/ Year. Scholarship and financial assistance are also available apart from these for best-performing students in class.
Campus Life
The college has a lot of clubs and societies for the overall development of the student both in academic and co-curricular activities. Also, the college is equipped with a library which is functional from 9 am to 8:30 pm.
Admission
Entrance Exam: JEE Mains; Counselling through JOSAA on the basis of rank obtained through JEE Mains. Usually, the examination is held twice a year, once in January and once in May, with a maximum number of attempts in 3 years. National Testing Agency(NTA) conducts JEE Mains and releases the application form. Reservation benefits: Home State Quota(Chhattisgarh): 55%. Female reservation is also applicable along with caste-based reservation. Yes, the percentile system fails to match the difficulty of every session --> this needs to be improved.
