An Honest Look

The architecture field fascinated me hence I opted for this course. Here our faculty-student ratio is 1:10 which I feel is pretty good as every student gets the attention he/she needs. Not only that we also have visiting faculty who help and get us through our work, guide and mentor us. The exams were not easy but not so difficult as well.

We get to be an intern in our 4th year. There are 10 to 15 companies that offer internship opportunities. We get to learn a lot through this that too in our 4th year itself. We are allowed to apply the knowledge that we have studied as a fresher architect.

Our college provides placements from the 4th and 5th year and internships for 2nd-year SOD students. Many companies do offer jobs and internships. My plan after completing my degree is to get some experience as an architect maybe through college or by myself and complete my post-graduate degree M.Arch.

Being in the general category the fees I had to pay were 1.47 lakhs. The quality of education we receive as well as the extra activities and benefits we receive makes it worth it. We have different workshops and clubs and our yearly fest is also included in it.

The best part of being an architectural college is the studios. We get our own space to work and think about our design. We also have ac classrooms for our theory lectures. We also have a library, model-making workshop, carpentry workshop, etc. Every year we have a sports day conducted between our years as well as different colleges. We have a student council that handles all the clubs like music and sports.

The very first step towards entering an architectural college was attempting NATA and JEE exams after the 12th. Once I cleared that I filled out my option form and I was admitted to VESCOA. Here I was allotted a room for admissions and the faculty helped us out through the whole process.
