Entrance Preview
Opted for BMM because I wanted to work in media field. There was no entrance exam. Just your grades.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty for BMM is quite nice. Lot of exposure and projects get you good knowledge and fun. The course will teach you about a lot of different subjects like writing, photography, brand management, psychology etc. The third year lets you specialize in advertising or journalism.
Internships Opportunities
The college doesn't provide internships. However, you might get help from faculty and seniors in getting you a good internship.
Placement Experience
There is no placement for this course but the job opportunities are great. It all depends on how much you work on your skills. Production houses, ad agencies, digital marketing agencies, etc are all looking for BMM graduates. Lot of interesting job opportunities awaits you.
College Events
The college hosts Cutting Chai, one of the best BMM festivals. Participating in festivals of other colleges and winning them go all round the year. The are also a lot of sports activity that goes around. Sending students for competing at university goes on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is around 20-30K for one year. It changes every year, so stay updated. The fees in my opinion is feasible. It is the same in almost all other colleges. You are required to pay extra for any re-exam in case you get KT etc. For a discount or scholarship, you may ask the college office.
Fees and Financial Aid
Unaware of the loan facility. However there is a scholarship facility available, I guess. There is also a discounted fees facility for people with low income.
Campus Life
The college life is what you make out of it. The crowd is good. The number of festivals are going to give you a lot to explore and enjoy. Making films, debating, dancing, writing, you will get to do everything in festivals. Moreover projects might come as preparing a skit, or film, or a speech.
Hostel Facilities
No hostel or mess facility is available. If you wish to live alone, you are required to live as a PG and the search is to be done by yourself. The college has a decent canteen, with normal hygiene standards, nothing too bad. However the college is surrounded by lot of eateries, so more choices.
Alumni/Alumna
All the interactions with the BMM faculty and seniors are great. A very quality and interesting environment persists.
Exam Structure
The exams are easy. So is the syllabus The three year course is divided into 6 semesters with internals and externals in each subject. The internals might be written or project based. The ATKT system is followed. The exams rules followed are those given by Mumbai university.
Admission
The form has to be bought from college and filled and submitted by attaching the required documents. If your name comes in the list you can pay the fees and your admission is done. If your name doesn't come up, you will have to wait for more lists to check. You may also try after the college begins and students may withdraw admissions.
