Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course Electronic and Communication Engineering as I had a keen interest in it and want to make a career in it in the future. The faculty: student ratio is about 1:15. The faculties are qualified and have at least a Ph.D. in their domain and are also an expert in it, The teaching method is also easier for students and makes studying easier for the students. The exams are taken twice a semester and other continuous evaluations are done by the faculties.
Placement Experience
The students become available for campus placements after the completion of the 6th semester. The companies that visited were Amazon, Bloomberg, IBM, Adani, etc. and many offers were made to the eligible students. The highest package was 22.99LPA and the average package was 8.85LPA and the profiles offered were Network Engineer, Software Engineer, and Service Engineer. The percentage of students placed was 82%. My plans after getting the degree are to start my startup or going for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are hiked every year for the new admissions but the fees remain the same for the student who has already taken admission throughout the course. The cost to study is high. The scholarship like MYSY and Reliance Scholarships are available for the students which can give them financial assistance.
Campus Life
An annual fest like Vaudeville, Ramzat, and Nuzeal happens in the month of March-April and others in the festival months respectively. The availability of books and journals on various subjects are available in the library. Amenities like AC, Smartboards, and Whiteboards are available in the classroom. The sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged by the university and many tournaments are organized throughout the year. Equipment is also provided by the university. The social groups and clubs are formed by the students for the students which do many events and other social activities throughout the year.
Admission
The eligibility criteria are 60% in 12th Boards and above cutoff score in entrance exams like JEE and GUJCET. The application form, fees, and dates are available on the official website of the Nirma University. The improvement can be done by making the admission process transparent and easier for the candidates.
