Fests, Teachers also canteen!! Teachers are very polite and they helped me learn different things which were also very challenging at times
BMM is something which is a practical course and not for the students who like to stay at home
There’s greenery and wind everywhere in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen BMM in 2021. I love mass media and being in front of the camera. Fests helped me to come out of my comfort zone. The faculty is very polite and co-operates well. Exams of BMM were held twice a year.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are affordable. Many internships facility is available. Networking is something you will build in this college if you be a part of college magazine internships or group projects or various fests which are held in college.

Campus Life

Cutting Chai is the annual fest of the BMM department which is very well known. There are other fests of different departments of college. The annual fest of college is known as Goonj in which only the college students participate. There's a college magazine that is divided into 3 sections Reporting, design, and editing.

Admission

It was very easy and applicable for students who scored 50% and above. The application form is available on the website and all the other details. There are various courses, career conclave sessions, and fests to build the student's personality.

Placement Experience:

College for students who wanna Hustle

Course Curriculum Overview:

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.

Remarks:

KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more. They also have outdoor Games, athlete ground, hostels, 7 to 8 canteens. The teaching system is quite good they have compulsory 75% of attendance.
