Dislikes
- It is not like as in IIT's and NIT's that one gets good CGP studying overnight a day before exam, student have to study consistently to achieve good CGP as exams are tough with no plagiarism allowed.
- Ratio of boys:girls is low(10:1) because of no girls reservation.
- About 5 days classes a week with 75% attendence.
Course Curriculum Overview
My branch is CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Data science). AI and DS is the future of world for at least next 50 years. This field has vast Opportunities for you. Apart from this, the branch offers you a high paying job and in my college, this branch enjoys the status of the top branch. Faculties are truly remarkable and ensure a good balance between theory and practical. Boys: girls ratio is around 10:1 due to the absence of girls' reservations. Exams are held Twice a semester, Mid sem, And End sem. One can pass it studying a week.
Internships Opportunities
Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, synopsis, adobe, etc. offers internships from the second year onwards in the domain of student like SWE, AE, etc. Students can work on projects from the second year itself and can also work with faculties on their projects.
Placement Experience
At the end third year, students get Eligible for campus placements. The package is equivalent to and even better than top NIT's and 10-12 IITs. There is 100% placement from top branches and about 98% from other branches. Companies visiting are Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Atlassian , Goldman Sachs, synopsis, and other top tech companies. It's not like IIT here has lower branches with the worst placement scene and just giving students a tag of IIT. Our college has the highest package of 83.36 LPA and the average package as of now is around 20 LPA for my branch. It is around 17 LPA overall and the lowest package is 7.5 LPA which is more than the average of the lower branches of some IITs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Generally, fees are About 10.52 lacs for a four-year course including MESS and HOSTEL charges and it is truly worth it. There are many scholarships available including government and private which you will be made to know once you get enrolled. You can easily get internships starting from the second year onwards with a handsome stipend.
Campus Life
There is beautiful life on campus. First-class Air conditioned 3-BHK flat with all facilities is provided which I think is not provided in any IITs, NITs, and other IIITs also. Classrooms are digitally smart and air-conditioned. EPHEMERA is our cultural fest of a duration of about three-four days. HACKATHON is our technical fest. There is a central Library in College having a large number of books. There are six societies namely, GENERAL,WELFARE, SPORTS, CULTURAL, MEDIA, and TECHNICAL clubs in our college, and under each society, there are numerous clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The quality of the meal is nice. And the menu has a fine touch of taste across our country. Mess and Hostel are located within campus only. The mess cost is around 16000/semester. The registration in mess is done after admission. The four-time meal is provided with four days having Non-Veg options.
Admission
Admission to IIIT Ranchi is based on the All India Quota of the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for the JEE (main) Examination. To secure admission, one must achieve at least 96+ percentile in JEE mains. Application Forms would be available on the JoSAA portal once the counseling begins, and there you will also find reservation benefits.
