the hostel is good. it has a very good view.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose the course CSE (DS+AI) as that has the best future as compared to other parts even in CSE. The faculty-student ratio is fine but the director has promised to make it even better in the coming years. the faculty is well educated and all the concepts will be cleared. exams are held twice in a semester (mid-sem and end-sem) and are equally separated in the semester.

Internships Opportunities

Almost all the student get an internship from college. A few of the places where the students have done internships are- ISRO, DRDO, amazon, one plus, etc. the students also take part in industrial projects.

Placement Experience

the students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th sem. the students have added value to Amazon, google, adobe, invidia, Walmart, one plus, etc. the highest package in 2022 was 46 LPA which went up to 83.4 LPA in 2023. the average in 2022 was 12.8 LPA and 17 LPA in 2023. the minimum is 7LPA. 100 percent of the students were placed this year (Yes, you read it correctly 100%).

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees are a bit high (1.5 L per semester including hostel and mess). but the fees are fixed for all 4 years once you take admission and it has been stable at this cost for quiet some time. the college does not provide direct scholarship/financial assistance but the college does have a team of faculty and students who keep the students updated about state scholarships and all. And do there best to get you the scholarship.

Campus Life

the college had its first teck fest and annual fest this year(2023) in the month of April. the college has a central library where you can study till 10:00 PM. the classrooms have AC and protectors which are regularly used by the faculty to make the class interactive. the college has plenty of space for sports and extracurricular activities, the college also has teams that take part in inter-IIIT sports meets. there are many clubs in the college which are under the student council which are very active. they have clubs for sports, tech and literature

Admission

JEE mains is the entrance exam for admmission in IIITR. The admission is through JOSAA counseling for which you can find the dates on its official website. There are reservations for SC/ST/OBC and PWD students, but there is no female quota. the admission is pretty smooth and it just took 1-2 hours for physical reporting.

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Choose Future, not Present

I had several other options like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, BITS Pilani etc... Now in all the tier 2 nits i would have got either metallurgy or civil at the best but in BITS Pilani i could've got ENI but the fees there was 33 lkh for all the 4 years so it was not affordable for me. This was the best option keeping in mind my rank, roi and fees. You can get here by applying for jossa or csab after you have given jee mainsa and you will get a seat if you get good rank....Read More
