Remarks

I have already written lot. Special mention would be its prime location in the city unlike other colleges.

Entrance Preview

UPSEE examination is required to get into this college. I gave UPSEE in 2010 and got rank well under 1000 among all appeared for same. I opted for this college as this is the best insititue in UPTU(renamed as GBTU lately).

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum 4/5 (i did engineering in Electrical which covered all basic and advanced subjects required for the same).

Internships Opportunities

College give sufficient time for your internship and industrial training. As i opted for graduation course there was no stipend for same, but If you will opt. For post-graduate course stipend of INR8000 is allotted.

Placement Experience

Placements are fairly good with good companies visiting every year. Special mention to branch of Paint Technology here, where companies like TATA, HERO, BAJAJ, MARUTI, etc comes and recruit in early days.

College Events

There are several intra-college, inter-college fest organised in the institution itself. Also branch fest by almost each branch are organised annually.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fee of INR40000 is asked for B. tech from normal candidated. As it is a govt. aided institute. Students who are not economically sound where 100% tution fee is exe3mpted. If annual salary of parents is less than 1 Lac INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

It also gives scholarship to students. 100% tution fee exemption if annual salary of parents of student applying in college is less than 1Lac INR, you just need to provide certificate for same.

Campus Life

The best thing in this college will be your campus and hostel life as infra of hostel is such, where you encounter maximum faces and interact with them daily and grow relationship with them. Sports 4/5, Labs 3/5, Competitions 4/5.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is not of great quality but college administration is trying their best to renovate same asap.

Alumni/Alumna

This institution also has well organised alumni network. They added benefit that comes with this institute is that this college was established in 1921 i. e. it is nearly 100 years old and lots of alumni in various field excelling,

Exam Structure

It follows semester pattern for B. tech with 3 sessionals in every semester. But only marks from 2 sessionals are reflected in your marksheet(Best 2 out of 3).

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. My plan is to get government job.

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats. Counselling goes for three round.If not get selected, you can try last time in spot round if seats are vacant. Only students with jee mains result will get admission....Read More
