Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good and intended towards competitive exams. faculty members are also very kind and supportive. They also support you in exams and in the preparation of your competitive examination. I choose this course (civil engineering) because I am interested in this course. faculty-student ratio1:20. Qualification of the faculty is very good. they all are PhD holders and they also have a lot of experience in teaching. In a single semester, you have to go through 4 exams, namely: first mid-sem examination, second mid-sem exam, practical examination and final examination. exams are not that tough but somewhat exams are tough, as far as I know, my department exams are very tough but you can easily pass all the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
Academic fees are about 127500 per academic year and near about 60000 (hostel+mess) fees. the opportunity for scholarship: If you are in Hbtu Kanpur you can apply for any of them : 1)Symen scholarship 2)up scholarship 3)Aspc scholarship Symen scholarship is not available for some of the branches including my branch, my unfortunately. Hbtu has a 10% fee hike per year for new batches. The cost of the study is about 517300 for a normal student. job opportunities are totally based on your branch, for the CSE branch there is a very vast no. Of job opportunities in my branch just a few of my seniors got placed .but the placement percentage is about 95%.
Campus Life
If you are a hosteler then your life is definitely full of joy. if we talk about life on campus, it's very joyful. academic area is in the East Campus, East Campus infrastructure is very good, and the main building is 100 years old .you must visit shatabdi stambh near the main building of hbtu Kanpur. Canteen and Nescafe are also there for enjoyment. Every academic year annual fest (aagaz, tecnikaand adhyaay ) is there to cheer us. they are Conducted between November to February. Hbtu has its own old library named Tagore Library. you will get all the books that you need during your exam preparation. the sports club is also there dramatics, aero, robo and Kalash clubs there to support your extracurricular activities.
Admission
The admission process is totally based on the jee mains score. for getting the CSE branch you must have to score a decent rank in jee mains. Hbtu also has caste-based reservations for admission. I have taken admission in 2020 to the civil branch. The admission process is the same as Josaa counselling .there are three rounds, and after that offline counselling is also there. Eligibility of courses is that you have to fulfil all admission criteria of Hbtu. For admission forms, go to the Hbtus official website (hbtu.ac.in). Reservation benefits are based on the caste system, sc, st, obc, general and general ews got the reservation on the seats in Hbtu Kanpur. there are fee waiver systems also there for economically weaker sections.
