Labs are updated and have a large number of the latest instruments as IITK spends a lot on the same. P K Kelkar Central Library is built in 3 storeys and has almost all the books you may need in the campus life. So, there is no need to buy books. The institute run health centre is there with all the basic medical facilities. The college has a modern infrastructure which is AC, Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms are the best among all colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview
First two years were focused on basic engineering courses and remaining years were mainly departmental. In all those years if undergraduate and postgraduate study, I learned a lot.yes it focuses much on practical learning.
Internships Opportunities
Yes college provides wide range of internship opportunities .Many companies came and the average stipend was around Rs 20,000 per month. There is a student placement office who does a very good job of inviting companies in campus.
Placement Experience
As per the stats of 2015-16, the placement was very good. Overall 86.8% got placement and from MSE branch, 68.35% got placed in reputed companies. The average package is about 9 LPA, the highest was about 30 LPA and the lowest was about 6LPA in MSE branch. As far as the overall placement is concerned, the highest package was in crores and the lowest was about 5 LPA. The companies for recruitment were Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, HSBC, Facebook, Deloitte and many more MNCs.
College Events
Antaragni, Udghosh, Varchasva, Galaxy etc were some of the notable inter collegiate and intra-collegiate festivals. Participation was huge in all the five years of my graduation at IIT Kanpur and I thoroughly enjoyed and participated in most of those festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is a bit complicated. Those who have parental salary less than 100000 have free tuition fees. 100000 to 600000 have to pay 66000 and those who have parental income greater than 600000 have to pay approx 250000 pa. So it's a bit a tough for those who have salary just above 600000 pa.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes scholarship was given by college if any one get under 1000 rank then he/she got scholarship .And sc/st student got mbf scholarship par month 250rs. There is many scholarship.
Campus Life
The entire environment is planned to give a conducive atmosphere for a holistic learning – to focus on the development of personality as a whole. The Student Gymkhana makes sure that the student leads a very active life when present in campus. It understand that the average student coming in has led a very monotonous life during the preparation days and feels he needs to diversify and wants to develop his personality as a whole. It makes sure that there is some thing in the campus from Cultural to Sports to Technical through one of the institute's pillar of strength.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was very clean and there were sweepers for each and every wing or block of all the hotels of IIT Kanpur. Mess was also good. Food used to be very healthy and proper sanitation was maintained.
Alumni/Alumna
Nice experience they gives us good tips to succeed in academics they also told us how to cope up with academic standards set by premier institute of india.
Exam Structure
8 semesters in total involving around 6 subjects every semester. Each course has 2 exams - midsem and endsem exam and many quizzes in between, depending on how many the professor wants to take. most exams are very easy and require going to only 1 or 2 classes.
Faculty
Almost all the faculty members in IITs are there for research. So obviously they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. As soon as you enter IIT Kanpur you will get web-mail in which you can mail anytime to any faculty if you are facing the problem and they will give you time whenever they are free. Regarding teaching methods, they will teach you through PPT(Power Point Presentation) and at the end of the class, they will send you the same thing that they taught in class to revise every-time whenever you are free. The course is very useful there. Every course ahs its own importance and you will also get a chance to study any other branch course.
