Course Curriculum Overview
Btech in LNCT is good. The faculty is also supporting and guides all the way long. There are multiple teachers in a department a student approach. Most of the teachers are PhD holders and have a decent knowledge of the subjects. Most subjects are taken care of and taught properly. As it is affiliated with rgpv, the final exams are taken by rgpv which is fairly easy to pass. The exams are taken on a semester basis.
Placement Experience
Campus placements start in semester 7 but college takes placements seriously and they start preparing you in the early semesters. The training and placement department organises various classes, mock tests, mock interviews, and assistance to help students score better placements. In my year 2023, the highest on-campus package was 20 lpa and off-campus was 1.14 crore per annum. In CS/IT, we get around 90% placement, which decreased in 2023 because of the recession and decline in the corporate market. I got placed in a product-based company from on-campus placements. I am currently interning there.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is lnct is high and getting high with inflation every year. If you are from Madhya Pradesh then you can apply for TFW(tuition fee waiver) via apply through DTE or you can apply for MMVY where you need a rank under 1.5 lakh in jee mains and more than 85% in 12th cbse or more than 75% in 12th mp board. There are also various scholarships based on category.
Campus Life
In LNCT, you get both the cultural fest and tech fest. They are organized in alternative years. In one year cultural then next tech then next cultural, and so, on. The library is vast and you can find almost all the books related to your course. Classrooms are mediocre with blackboards. The labs are equipped with Ubuntu systems and have good internet connectivity. There are various clubs and groups for different activities like sports, drama, poetry, social activities etc... One such group is RAAHAT
Admission
To be eligible to get admission in BE/BTECH you have to take JEE mains. The admission is done in two ways - via DTE counselling (in this you need a good jee mains score) and campus counselling (both jee and 12th marks are considered) The cut-off for cs would be somewhere around the 90 percentile in jee mains. The DTE counseling is an online process where you can apply for any number of colleges in mp via a single form and then according to your preferences and marks you are allotted a college. In DTE there are various reservations for OBV, SC, ST, and EWS. Apart from this, there is also a reservation for descendants of freedom fighters (this has a major effect)
