Likes

Fests and events of college are very good. Last time Darshan Raval came in our fest.
Infrastructure of college is good but it requires maintenance
Faculties of college are really supportive

Dislikes

Mess food is ok but it can be improved much
Library timings are not good. It opens at 10 in the morning and closes at 5 in the evening.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum for first-year b.tech students is the same for all students but from the second year onwards the curriculum becomes branch specific. The faculty members are highly qualified and the teaching method is also good leaving some exceptions.

Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies like Exonn, Reliance, and Jubilant come for intership in non-core branches. Students need to give their aptitude test. Core students have to apply for internships on their own. The college provides them with an internship.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from the seventh semester. Companies vary from Branch to branch but Exonm, Reliance and Jubilant are some renowned companies coming in college. Almost 85-90% of students sitting in placement get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fee hike policy in this college. The fee is fixed every year. Scholarships are not given by the college itself but you can apply for fee waiver seats in which you have to pay only 50% of the tuition fee only.

Campus Life

The name of our annual fest is Adhyaay and the tech fest is Technika. There is no specific month in which they are conducted. Books are available in the college library you can easily issue them from there. A sports fest called Agaaz also takes place every year.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good. But girls hostel provide better facilities than boys it is said by students. Mess food is ok means you can eat it. The registration process for the hostel takes place after taking admission to college.

Hostel Fee: INR 21000 per year

Admission

The entrance exam required for taking admission to this college was JEE Mains. The application form for this exam was easily available on the NTA website. My category was OBC girl. To me, everything regarding admission was ok so I don't think there can be many changes in it.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
