i cant say that this is the best college but i can say that it is a good college that helps you to reach your dreams.

We have a seperate entrance exam for any course in this University. We have an entrance exam called GAT for the admissions.

Course curriculum is set as per the industry standards and the students are given a lot of field trips and seminars so that they can get the appropriate exposure. The students are also given a lot of assignments throughout the year so that they can understand the subject in a much better way. A lot of guest lectures are organized by the college so that they can learn from the experience of the guests.

Internship is to be done by all the students of the college regardless of which programme they are working in. Only the job field and stipend changes as per the roles and responsibilities. The students are given full time job offer if they perform well in the internship programme, but for that they need to be very good because nothing comes easily. Only a few students are able to get this kind of opportunity.

The university achieves almost 100% placements every year. Most of the packages range from 3- 3.5 lacs. Tech Mahindra selected over 250 students in 2017 offering 3.25 lacs. Students who got placed in Tech Mahindra didn't get call letters yet. Companies like Amazon offered 15 lacs but no one got selected in the process. Most of the companies that come to GITAM are CS-based. Packages range from 1.8 lacs to 12 lacs ( offered by Voonik to 2 students). The average packages would be around 3 lacs to 3.25 lacs. Other companies that came are VMware, Portware, CGI, Capgemini, Virtusa Polaris and many others. Roles offered were associate software engineer and software developer. GITAM doesn't offer any internships or stipends.

Cultural events are the best part of the college. You will find yourself involved in these events from time to time. Due to so many children coming from different cultures, there are a lot of festivals and functions organised in the college. The events help us to cope up with the burden and toughness of the syllabus. I recommend all the students to indulge themselves in these events and chill for sometime.

The duration of the programme/course is 4 years which is equivalent to 8 semesters. The total fees is of Rs.247,000 for the 4 years. The students need to pay the fees at the beginning of every semester. Refundable amount of Rs.10,000 is to be deposited at the time of admission which involves library deposit and computer labs deposit.

Scholarship program is available in the college for all type of students. One program is for all the students who have performed exceptionally well in their examinations. The other program is for students belonging to reserved category so that they can study without the fear of any education loans. They are also given a lot of payment options without any interest.

Sports are not given enough support and encouragement compared to other activities but still there is spacious ground that covers almost 1/4th of the campus.Small tournament will be held within the university and also outside the campus.

The hostel is quite spacious and there are different types of rooms like single room and double room.Hostel facilities of the college are very good. They have provided single basis rooms as well as shared basis rooms for all the students. Even there is a room facility for the students who are married so that they can live with their spouse from time to time. Hostel fees is nominal and facilities offered by the college are too good. Wifi facility and good food is available for all the students of the hostel.

there is huge network of our passed out seniors who is always ready to help us in any manner. even everyone was being having the network through social networking sites

Exam structure is equivalently divided in theory and practicals. The students are not burdened by the examination process. But the students are asked to prepare well since the pattern of the examination changes every year and if the student doesn't studies properly, then they will not be able to pass the examinations. All the students need 45% marks secured in order to clear the examinations.

Every faculty member who teaches in our college is well-qualified and has a proper educational background from IITs and NITs. Most of them are done with their Ph.Ds. The teaching will vary with respect to the student but with respect to me, it is good and there is 1 faculty member for 65 students. We have one industrial visit in the 3rd year. There is digital teaching if necessary for the subject and it depends on faculty members as well.
