BITSAT is an entrance exam to enter BIRLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE. BITS is a good college and good environment that's why i choose this college.

The course is vast in nature covering all the branches of engg in the first year. After 1st year we have to study our branch courses and some humanities courses there is a unique practice school system a bits which allows us to intern at some com company for around 6+2.5 months. There are 2 practice school (internships) provides by the college.

I must say the internship experience was the best part. We were given list of about 200 companies to choose from with all details of type of work and stipend being offered ranging from 10000 to 30000 and even more in computer science branch. I got 15000 per month in this year. The standards have improved to great extent now.

Placements stats are amazing with around 90-95% students who were interested in securing jobs getting placed in on-campus interviews. The highest salaries ranged between Rs. 30-32 LPA (domestic on-campus placements) and the lowest salaries were in the range of Rs. 5-6 LPA. The average salary was approximately Rs. 10 LPA. This does not include placement data of off-campus placements. More than 150 large scale companies visited for on-campus placements including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, LinkedIn, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and many more. There is a great opportunity available for landing a prestigious job while on campus. Companies which visited our campus offered different roles ranging from software developer, system architect, fabrication engineer and many more. Due to Practice School Program, everyone who wishes to get an internship will get one. This results in 90-95% students getting internships, which may turn into full-time jobs according to your performance in the company. This is because a lot of pre-placement offers are given to us while working as interns during Practice School Program. Every student on the campus gets a chance to work in two different internships provided in different companies, including almost all the companies that visit us during placements. For example, Oracle, Amazon, Flipkart, Morgan Stanley. The highest stipend ranges from Rs. 85000-90000 per month, and going as low as Rs. 15000 per month. Some research internships do not pay stipends like Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, but worry not as the students getting internships there get a stipend from BITS while working on cutting edge technologies and participating in live research with great potentials

All events including Technical festival,Cultural festival,sports meet etc were organised at the highest level. Foreign performers like feeding the fish, DJ nikhil chanappa,KK live,Indian ocean band performance many reputed rock bands,artists,MTV VJs and even the roadies. Live air show etc. The college was inaugurated by Prime Manisted Dr. manmohan singh in our presence. We had biggest auditorium of 2400 capacity where movies were shown live world cup matches. Best ever experience.

As compared to other government colleges the fees is little bit high but it is worthy. Totally for one year it is only 2.80 lakh per annum. Still it is far better than all other private colleges.

There was also schemes of scholarships. Merit scholarship,Merit cum need scholarship for students whose parents income was below 3 lakhs. I used to get merit cum need scholarship worth 25% of my fee every semester.

Yes the college focus on extracirrucular activities and does keep many tournaments and also competitions with other universities and also it has a good environment and good place to work on our inner talent.

The hostels are single room there are 2 mess from which we have to choose every month. The college does not allow students to live outside the campus unless some special circumstances are there. The mess food is quiet good as well. Due to the location of the campus the weather is quiet good here so there is no need for the ac rooms.

Yes we have alumni network, regular emails and Alumni meets organised. Even awards for the achievements by Alumnus. There are proper posts been headed by Alumni students as well as current students.

There are 3 exams Test 1, test 2 and comprehensive examination per semester the labs are evaluated in every class so there is no practical examination in the end of semester there is relative grading. So people are given GPA according to the others performances.

Faculty members are very knowledgeable and very helpful. You can contact then whenever you want. Plus, they live in campus only so you can go and meet them They are very sweet to students. They are very qualified and possess at least a PhD degree and a lot of experience in their field. Different teachers use different teaching methods, for example, some teachers use light pen some use projector paper machine, some teachers use computer projector, some use only blackboard, some use physical equipment to explain a concept. 6:1 is the student-faculty ratio. I got industry exposure. Yes the curriculum is very useful we have T1, T2, lab exams, comprehensive exam and this is very useful to understand and test ourselves.
