Me being one of the most active students on campus...

I chose ECE out of my passion for electronics and this college seemed to give me hands-on experience on everything about electronics. The faculty-student ratio is one faculty for every 20 students, and every student is free to approach any faculty on the campus, regardless of the branch or department. All the faculties are quite experienced and many of them either hold a PhD or are pursuing one. The term exams are fairly easy to pass, given enough time is given for preparation.

There are a lot of startups in our campus, that students can approach for internships. The career/placement cell also constantly gives students nearly 4-5 different internship opportunities each month for the students to apply.

Students are eligible for placements right from their 6th semester. Some of the notable companies that conduct drives include Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and many others. The highest package was 10 LPA in 2022 and 4 placements with 9 LPA in 2023. I plan on higher studies which are also supported quite well by providing training, mentoring by faculties, and helping us with all the procedures in the application process.

The tuition fee is affordable for amlost all working classes. Although they hike the fees by a small amount each year, that is just enough to sustain the college and nothing out of the ordinary for any educational institution. HITAM also offers many scholarship opportunities, like the one that includes fee waivers based on the percentage/GPA secured in the intermediate examination.

Campus life and clubs are the best part of HITAM. I am proud to say that every single club on the campus is run by students, with almost every club having a faculty mentor. HITAM values students' growth over everything and hence there is a 10-year-strong student council called the Student Self Governance (SSG). We celebrate our annual fest in the month of April every year which is a 5-day long event, consisting of a technical day, two sports days, a traditional day, and a cultural day. HITAM's sports clubs are quite active and participate in many sports meets all across the state.

HITAM, unlike some of the highly rejective collegs, accepts students from various backgrounds. Most of the admissions come from the State Entrance examination, TS-EAMCET. The process is pretty straight forward and unless there's a lot of people at rhe registration centres, the verification process is fairly easy and the councelling (order of preference) is done online.
